Bajaj Platina 100 E20 BS7 Comfortec Review 2023
- In the two-wheelers market, Bajaj is a well-known manufacturer that is famous for pulsar bikes.
- Besides this, Hero and Honda are also known for their famous brands Splendor Plus and CD Delux.
- One I have to say because I have been using Hero Honda Splendor for 11 years and also rode Bajaj Platina.
- Companies continuously not only improve the build quality of their bikes but also add new features.
- Like Bajaj Platina 100 feels premium in paint quality, fit, and finish & also comfortable to ride.
- so today I will mention all the details and features of the new 2022 Platina 100 BS6 model.
- when I saw this bike the design was simple & clean and the design is very much the same as before.
- the thing added by Bajaj is Platina 100 now comes with LED DRL that can be seen in the headlights.
- Although headlights are the same as the old model Platina equipped with Halogen bulb type.
- One thing that Bajaj could do to make this bike more valuable by add LED headlights to it.
- Besides this, Bajaj Platina 100 features clear lens halogen-type indicators as we have in pulsar models.
- These indicators are flexible means and don’t break easily in case of a fall.
- Now let’s move on to the other feature which is the new design instrument console.
- The 2022 Platina 100 gets a new Instrument cluster that has an Analog Speedometer with a Trip meter on the left.
- On the right side, it has an analogue fuel gauge, indicator lights, and Check Engine light.
- This time Bajaj has focused on the rider and pillion comfort and why they added new comfortable seats.
- these seats are well padded and feel premium and riders would not feel uncomfortable over long rides.
- And a grab rail is provided for the pillion to ensure safety & one thing I have not seen on any bike.
- that is a large flat footrest for a pillion so without any problem pillion could sit on it for a long ride.
- Body Panels like a Tail cowl, battery panel, air filter panel, front mudguard & visitor are of good quality.
- The thing I don’t like about Bajaj Platina is its fuel tank feels smaller when you sit on it.
- The riding position of the Bajaj Platina 100 is upright and comfortable due to the raised tube-type handlebar.
- Further adding comfort are the foot pegs that are placed neutrally & help you to keep you keep foot on the ground.
- Now talking about safety Platina 100 comes with a two-piece leg guard that saves bikes during accidents.
- That’s all I want to say about this bike and I have posted more the 15 images of Platina 100 in this blog for you.
Bajaj Platina 100 Colours
- One thing I really like about Platina 100 is it comes with dual-tone colors.
- Currently, the company is offering four dual-tone colors with the bike as seen in the images.
- Actually, the body is painted in black color but the graphics get different colors.
- These Colors are Black & Red, Black & Silver, Black & Gold, and Black & Blue.
- Among all these colors I like the Black and Gold colors.
Bajaj Platina 100 cc Engine
- we have talked lots of things about the design and the colors of this bike above.
- Now let’s see what kind of performance this 100 cc platina engine delivers.
- Bajaj Platina 100 is using a single-cylinder 102 cc, DTS-I, Air Cooled 2-valve engine.
- This engine delivers 7.9 PS of power and 8.3 Nm of torque & fitted with a carburettor.
- Bajaj offers a 4-speed transmission that has power smoothly to the rear wheel.
- Nowadays almost every 100 cc bike uses a fuel injection system.
- But Bajaj is using an electronic carburettor in the Patina motorcycle.
- I think Bajaj is using a carburettor because it helps to keep the cost minimum.
- Just like the pulsar motorcycle, the Platina 100 cc engine features a DTS-i technology.
- DTS-I stands for Digital Twin Spark Ignition and two spark plugs are fitted in this engine.
- and the advantage of having two spark plugs is a clean and efficient air+fuel mixture can be achieved.
- In 2022 Platina gets a BS6 engine so a sizeable catalytic converter has been added to it can be seen near the exhaust with the oxygen sensor.
- On the right side, there is a cap fitted with a three-bolt to change the oil filter.
- In this bike, the company is using plastic chain covers to keep the weight minimum and price as well.
Bajaj Platina 100 Mileage (Fuel Economy)
- Speaking about mileage Platina 100 is a mileage king & no bike comes even close to it.
- now I am sharing a rider experience who test the bike on the highway with the pillion with exactly 1 litre of fuel.
- He was riding the Platina 100 with a pillion at 65-70 km/h speed with 1 litre of petrol.
- and guess his Bajaj Platina 100 delivered 86 km/l of mileage on the highway.
- Apart from that Platina 100 delivered 62 km/l mileage/Average in the city with a pillion.
Highway | 86 km/l (kilometers Per liter). |
City | 62 Km/l With Rider |
Bajaj Platina 100 Suspension & Brakes
- You may have noticed that Bajaj has added comfort with the name Platina.
- it means the suspension and ergonomics are designed to offer comfort using the ride.
- upfront Platina gets Hydraulic, telescopic forks with 135 mm wheel travel.
- and rear Spring in spring suspension with 110 mm rear wheel travel.
- these suspensions absorb bumps efficiently no matter what kind of road is.
- Moving on to brakes bajaj is offering a disc brake version and a drum brake version.
- upfront Bajaj Platina gets 130 mm drum brakes and a Disc Brake as an option.
- and at the rear 110 mm drum brake with anti-skid function.
- Anti Skid function is a kind of braking system that applies both brakes when you apply either front or rear brake.
- there is a mechanism that can be seen near the kick and inside of the front wiser.
- so whenever rider presses rear brake the front brake also applied automatically via mechanism and vice versa.’
- this technology helps to keep the bike stable during sudden braking and eliminates the ABS system.
Bajaj Platina Seat Height and Ground clearance
- The seat height of the bajaj Platina is 807 mm which is a bit high in my opinion.
- like if you are a short-height person 5’5″ inch or less it will be difficult for you to place your both foot on the ground.
- another thing is the ground clearance of Platina 100 is 200 mm which is great.
- like if you are riding on a broken road high-ground clearance is a boon for you.
- you can take this bike possibly everywhere no matter what kind of road condition is.

ground clearance | 200 mm. |

Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear Review
- if you want more performance and features in the Platina bike then Bajaj also offers the 110 cc Bajaj Platina.
- which is exactly the same as the Platina 100 cc but has some cosmetic changes and engine.
- So when you look at the Bajaj Platina 110 from the front you will notice that the LED light is fixed on the headlight.
- whereas in 100 cc platina-led lights are placed one inch above the headlights.
- Besides this, indicators are different in design in the Platina 110, and the company also features a transparent visor.
- Also, the speedometer is also slightly different from the one we have in the 100cc Platina.
- this change is a 110 cc platina instrument cluster that comes with a digital screen that shows information about the bike.
- Bajaj said that 110 cc Platina gets H-Gear so it is 5 gears the company said it reduces stress from the engine during a long ride.
- in this bike handguard also comes fitted with the company and the Alloy design is also sportier in this bike. READ More.
My opinion
- No doubt that the Bajaj Platina 100 and Platina 110 H gear are great bikes in terms of performance.
- And 86 km/l fuel economy is fantastic and you can use this bike even on the highway.
- The company also improved the design as well as the features I love it.
