Defender has various off-road modes like Rock, Mud & Ruts, Snow, Sand and Rock. You can’t get Defender with a two-wheel drive system.

It has a four-wheel drive system, and its design is same as the the other Defenders 110 and 130.

So the previous Defender was all about off-road ability but the modern Defender is a perfect blend of Luxury and off-road ability. these land rovers are loaded with features and people are crazy about them and most of the buyers are using them just to show off here in India.

very few people know the real ability of this SUV. So as you can see the Land Defender 130 is a bit larger than the Defender 110 and the slight increase in the length results in superb third-row comfort. As this SUV is designed for tough use the design also looks like that.

when you see from the front it looks tough and imposing Besides this, you will not get decorated front grilles like the other SUVs and it has horizontal vents support to pass the air for engine cooling. front bumper lower portion has a silver finish and air vents. it makes the car look sporty.

On the other hand, the Land Rover Defender 130 HSE comes with LED headlights with signature DRLS. and Defender has two headlight options. One is regular premium and the second one is matrix LED type. Defender also comes fitted with premium LED fog lights that further help to maximise visibility at night.

The company has added some old defender features when you look at the hood of the car two metal plates were used to give it a tough look. the bonnet is long and wide and the wheel arc makes it look wider.

Now moving on to the side of the Defender 130. first of all, it looks really from the side it’s larger than the Toyota Land Cruiser and one thing you will notice is that it has a low front overhang and a large rear overhang. It’s because it has spacious third-row seats. and it can be used for long drives.

Talking about ORVMs they are electrically adjustable and auto foldable These ORVMs also come integrated with LED turn indicators and a camera. On the other hand, you will get side cladding on the lower area of the car.

This cladding prevents your SUV from scratching during off-roading. on the other hand, you will get 20–inch rims here, body colour door handles etc. One thing I noticed here is this car has a boxy design theme. but its straight lines and creases make it look attractive.

Moving on to the rear, it looks wide and its rectangular-shaped LED taillight gives it a signature look sporty. Land Rover Defender 130 HSE has a tailgate-mounted full-size spare wheel and it’s protected with a spare wheel plastic cover.

and defender badging can be seen on it. besides this, it has a rear wiper and washer, high-mount stop lamp, defogger and rear parking sensors. you can get a towing hook if you have bought a towing package. one thing I have to say despite its boxy looks defender catches the attention of the people.

So let’s open the car so that to unlock the car Land Rover has provided a key fob as you can see in the images press the unlock button and you are good to go. As you open the door you will be happy to see the build quality of the interior yes it’s not like the Range Rover but it has a premium feel with solid build quality.

Like you can see the door panel screws can be seen clearly it has done to make you feel that you are in a tough SUV. The LR Defender 130 interior is wrapped in Leather and you can choose the colour of the interior like in this blog.

we have shown the Land Rover Defender 130 HSE in Tan colour leather interior Besides this you can also choose Ebony Windsor (Black) and light oyster leather interior. Dashboard, door panels and seats are treated with leather.

Now let’s talk about the interior design of the driver’s side door you will get leather treatment and two meridian speakers. Besides this four power window switches are there along with the memory seats button and the fold/unfold button of ORVM. you can lock and unlock the door via buttons which can be seen on the door.

Whereas over the co-driver side door, you will get three memory seat buttons and a lock button. now you might be thinking can we store something on the door so yes you can keep here a short water bottle, car cleaning cloth etc.

Now let’s talk about the dashboard. the design of the dashboard is pretty much simple. The dashboard has a great design and in the Land Rover Defender 130 HSE dashboard you will get space other than the storage box on the co-driver side to keep your phone and other things.

Now in the centre of the dashboard, you will get an 11.4-inch HD touchscreen that supports Android Auto, Apple car play, Bluetooth and radio. Besides this, you can access features like Navigation, Seats, Climate, Camera, 4WD etc. and there are many more things you can see.

Below the screen, a small panel is attached to the dashboard where Land Rover has beautifully & ergonomically arranged buttons to control AC, Terrain Response, gearknob, volume button and the start-stop button.

Here you will get automatic climate control and you can also get optional 3-zone climate control. Besides this Land Rover Defender 130 terrain response control is also provided over the panel. as you can see in the images.

Moving on to the steering, Defender 130 has electric power steering which can be adjusted electrically tilt and telescopic. and it’s fully wrapped in leather which feels premium and it has four spoke. besides this, it has phone/audio control on the left side and on the right side, you will get cruise control.

Behind the steering wheel, you will get headlights and a wiper control stick. further moving behind you will get an instrument cluster here Land Rover is offering two instrument clusters fully digital cluster and a semi-digital cluster.

Talking about Land Rover Defender 130 seats. upfront, you will get 14-way heated and cooled electric memory front seats with 4-way manual headrests, including front passenger seat ISOFIX and rear 60:40 slit seats with manual sliding and reclining function and you also get a centre armrest with cup holder.

Besides this, 40:20:40 folding third-row seats are super comfortable it has a good amount of legroom and headroom. and three people can easily sit here.

One thing I have to say Defender 130 is a really comfortable SUV and its interior feels like you are sitting in a large room. and adding a more airy feel to its panoramic sunroof. Besides this, you have LED lights over the roof in various places and you have AC for the third and second rows. It’s a really comfortable SUV.

One more thing I forgot to add it Defender 130 has enough boot space behind third-row seats but when you fold the third and second rows you will get 2516 litres of loading space. I’m really impressed with the Land Rover Defender 130 HSE Interiors.

So here you can see in the images we have shown the Defender 130 outbound in satin protective film in black colour and Land Rover Defender 130 outbound is available in three colours Fuji white, Eiger grey and Santorini black.

with the satin protective film, its bonnet comes with the 130 written on it. The Defender 130 outbound edition is developed for adventure purposes. This edition comes with full LED headlights and you can also choose the matric LED headlights on the lower portion of the bumper you will get LED foglights.

Over the hood you have defender badging. moving on to the side you will notice the rear quarter panel glass is not provided instead a metal sheet is used to cover that section this is done because the Land Rover Defender 130 outbound is available with only 5 seats instead of 8 seats.

Besides this, Land Rover is offering accessory packs with it like Explorer, Adventure and Country Pack. you can select according to your needs. moving on to the rear you will get LED taillights and a spare wheel and you will not get a spare wheel cover but you can buy it as an accessory.

Interior Design

Now let’s get inside the car and see what How Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound edition interior look like? so from the inside, you will not find changes in the interior layout and features it’s pretty much the same as the regular Defener 130 HSE.

But there are a couple changes I will tell you which are different from the regular one like you will get a black interior which is called DUOTONE WINDSOR LEATHER SEATS WITH ROBUSTEC ACCENT.

Besides this, you can choose different seats like you have 12 electric memory seats, 12-way heated/cooled with memory, or you can choose to separate cooled and heated seats. and can also choose the 14-way electric, memory seat.

Besides this, you will get only second-row seats and for the second-row passenger rear Air condition is provided these seats have a 60:40 split function to accommodate more luggage.. and you can manually slide and recline these seats according to your comfort.

you will not get third to here instead of this you will get large boot space here for the luggage in case you are going for the adventure so you can carry lots of things. and as this SUV is higher from the ground so loading and unloading may be difficult for you.

so you can lower or raise the suspension manually via a button located at the rear portion of the car on the left side electric sockets are provided there to get your electric gadget some power. and the rest of the things are pretty much the same.

This Defender 130 X has a similar exterior design to the other Defender 130 model now the change is you will get the black colour centre portion of the car from front to rear which makes the car look more aggressive.

Besides this, the Land Rover Defender X 130 has a couple of new colours like Pangea Green, Gondwana Stone, Eiger Grey, Santorini Black, Hakuba Silver and Sedona Red. Besides this, you also have premium metallic paint like Carpathian grey & Silicon grey.

On the other hand, you can choose various alloy wheel designs from R19 to R20. moving on to another feature this Defender X has a detachable toe hook which able to withstand up to 3500 kg weight.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Let’s move inside this ultimate SUV and see how this Defender X 130 is different from other variants? So when you get inside the car you will find the basic design and features are almost the same as the other models.

As you can see here the seats, Dashboard, headliner, and steering are almost the same. but Land Rover is providing some options in the interior to customise it. like you will get 8-full size seats here whereas front seats are 14-way adjustable with memory. and these seats have heated and cooled features to keep you in comfort in all kinds of weather.

Besides this, the second-row seat is 60:40 split and can be slide and reclined manually but you can choose either heating/cooling function within the seats separately.

On the other hand, you have only one option in the third-row seats like you have a heating function within the seats.

Moving on to the headliner you have two options here to choose the colour. you have Light Oyster Morzine Headlining & Ebony Morzine Headlining. Besides this, you can choose finisher material. these finishers can be seen on both sides of the centre console in wooden finishes.

So these are some options here with the Defender X. and we have shown some images here so that you can understand here.

D300 is a 6-cylinder inline diesel engine which has 296 Hp and 650 Nm torque. Whereas P400 is a 6-cylinder petrol engine that has 294 HP and 550 Nm of torque both the engine comes mated with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox which transfers all the power in all four wheels.

You also have a two-speed transfer case with High and low ratios. this is a large SUV that is primarily designed for off-road use and it’s really capable. but most of us are not going to use it off-road instead we are going to use it in the city or on the highway.

So when you sit inside the Defender 130 you get good outside visibility and the bonnet is visible from the driver seat. you sit very high on the ground because the Land Rover Defender 130 has 218 mm standard ground clearance and 290mm off-road ground clearance.

Besides this, both the petrol and diesel engine feel smooth during the drive. and if you want a more powerful and fast Defender 130 you should get a V8 petrol engine. Besides this suspension is great and absorbs bumps efficiently and along with its wide tyres you dont feel jerk inside the cabin.

And this is an off-road machine and it can go really wherever you want. so along with the terrain response 2, it has good off-road dimensions. Land Rover Defender 130 has 30-degree Approach and a 24.5-degree departure angle when the suspension is raised.

Due to this, you can take this SUV on extreme terrains. This SUV feels really comfortable and especially the third row you have more than adequate space so all 8 passengers will be comfortable over long drives.

So as we know the Defender 130 is a really large vehicle so if you are one of those who travels a lot over mountains and on the highway. along with your family and friends. then this Defender 130 is best for you.

On the other hand, this SUV has larger dimensions so it might be difficult for you to manoeuvre the city and it requires large space for parking.
