Mahindra Bolero B6 Opt Price & Review 2024

During the Milege test, Mahindra Bolero Classic delivered us 15.64 kmpl mileage in the city and 17.36 kmpl on the highway. on real-world conditions.

This SUV is based on a strong ladder frame chassis and Leaf spring suspension. Besides this, its short overhangs make this SUV best for broken roads so get this SUV if driving is your priority.

If you want more luxury features, an attractive design and a differential locking system then you should Buy Mahindra Bolero Neo 2024.

Here in India the condition of the roads is not good and people want a tough SUV that has a Ladder frame, Rigid suspension and a powerful diesel engine that not only performs better but is easy to repair as well.

On the other hand, Mahindra Bolero is affordable under Rs 11 lakh this is the only SUV here. in 2024 we have only 2wd models and 4×4 models are discontinued.

On the other hand large wheel arches, Rigid suspension, and Ladder frame combined give Bolero the capability to approach difficult terrain.

Bolero used to come with a 4X4 system which is discontinued and now in 2024, Bolero gets only a 2wd system which is good for extremely broken roads but not good for off-road terrains.

Dont know how to use it very few people know about it so to reduce the price and lower sales of 4wd bolero Mahindra has discontinued this model.

Now from 2020-2024, we have Bolero classic with 2wd system.

ABS, Driver and Co-Driver airbags, Co-driver Occupant Detection System, Reverse Parking sensor and based on ladder frame chassis are all things that make the bolero a safe car.

Bolero has third row side facing seats which are suitable for the average short-height people or you can fold them and use them as storage space.

so if you are looking to buy a Bolero Classic then you can buy a Bolero B6 it has beige interiors, decals, Air Conditioner etc it costs you Rs 10 lakh rupees.

On the other hand, if you are planning to buy the Mahinda Bolero Neo then I suggest you buy the Bolero Neo N10 option because this SUV comes with a differential locking system that helps you in difficult off-road terrain.

Front View

So let’s start from the front here we have the Mahindra Bolero B6 opt classic top model and it’s fully loaded with accessories. As you can see Mahindra has changed the certain thing to make it look more up-market and premium.

You have a new twin-beak Mahindra logo which has replaced the old m Mahindra logo and all Mahindra cars are manufactured with this logo. on the other hand, the front grill had changed this time Bolero Classic gets 4 slots grille with Bolero badging which makes it look sporty.

Now moving on to lights sadly we still dont get any LED headlights and fog lights Mahindra should add LED lights to make this remarkable product more worthy but Mahindra has added static bending features to the Mahindra Bolero B6 opt classic variant.

It helps the driver during the night when taking turns. there is a light chamber in the headlights which is placed at an angle that automatically glows up when the driver turns the steering to light up the road at an angle.

Besides this, the top model, Bolero Classic is equipped with fog lights of halogen bulb type to enhance visibility at night. now bolero is the only car here in India that comes with a solid metal bumper and you have a very low overhang up front that is why this car has good off-road capability

As this is an accessory model, the company has installed Headlamp chrome garnish, front grill chrome garnish with bolero branding, fog lamp garnish and front bumper cladding.

Side View

The Model we have shown in this blog is a top model Mahindra Bolero Classic and it’s loaded with accessories.

One thing I have to say is that the exterior design of our Mahindra Bolero is very much like the Mercedes Benz G class. Not only the side even from the front it very much looks like it. the thing I like about this car is nothing in this SUV is for showing off everything has its purpose.

As you can see the door hinges from the outside are visible which gives it a strong rugged look. Bolero doesn’t have a curvy muscular body but it still looks solid. this is the only car here that has fabric door hinges from the inside.

One thing you also get different from the other luxury SUVs is the door handles which are of metal and feel solid when you touch them. another thing I like about this SUV is it has large windows that give you a good view of the outside.

One more thing I love to add here even in the Top model Mahindra Bolero Classic Outer Rear view mirrors are Manually adjustable and foldable and they are easy to replace and dont break easily. besides this SUV has a plain side profile.

And only with the top model Bolero classic gets graphics. Besides this, a long black colour strip does come with it and it’s carried over from the Bolero Classic on the Bolero Neo. besides this side cladding and footrest also there.

Now one more thing from the base model to the top model Bolero Classic comes with regular steel rims of size 215/75 R15. On the other hand, the models you are showing here are equipped with optional Alloy Wheels of R15.

Besides this, other accessories like a Bolero rain visor, Door handle chrome garnish, and ventilator grill chrome are installed in this Mahindra Bolero B6 opt top model you can see in the images.

Rear View

Now let’s move on to the rear we have a rear wiper and washer and in this model, you can see a roof spoiler has shown so it’s an accessories part it doesnt come with it by default.

just like all Mahindra SUVs Bolero Classic gets a side vise openable tailgate with a spare wheel mounted over it. as this tailgate carries a heavy wheel it is designed to carry the weight of the wheel.

Moving on to lights as usual Mahindra is offering halogen taillights which look decent and here you can see taillight chrome garnish is installed too that’s why it appears premium but Mahindra should add LED lights to it.

Another thing I like about this SUV is that the rear bumper is small as compared to other SUVs the advantage of having a small rear bumper is more departure angle which makes this SUV go over broken roads without any problem.

and the licence plate can be attached on the right lower part of the bumper that’s all about the exterior of the Mahindra Bolero B6 opt model and you can see the images we have shown.

When you enter the car and you are already driving other Mahindra luxury cars like Scorpio N and Mahindra XUV700 you will not be happy to see the interior you will feel that Mahindra is not offering any luxury features with it.

Like look at the dashboard you have a Beige colour dashboard and in the centre of the dash, you have four Air Conditioning vents. On the right side of the dashboard, there are buttons for the Auto start-stop button and headlight leveller.

Moving to the center of the dash you will get an ordinary music system and below the music system, it has manual AC controls. moving on to the steering Top Model Mahindra Bolero B6 opt has power steering with no Audio and call buttons and also can’t be adjusted or fixed.

On the other hand, the previous Bolero used to come with an analogue speedometer but the current model comes with a full digital display that shows Average Fuel Economy, Gear Indicator, Door Ajar Indicator, Distance to Empty, Distance Travelled, Digital Cloack Day & Time.

Doors & Windows

Besides the dashboard, the interior of the door is also simple like when other luxury SUVs like Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N where have soft touch material inside the door and a wooden finish etc. on the other hand, Mahindra used a beige colour sheet to cover the inside the door.

Besides this, to stop the door Mahindra has used a fabric strap inside i think it’s done to reduce the cost of the car. besides this, only the door opening lever and holder are there and you can’t even hold a bottle. and power windows switch instead on providing on the door there are located on the centre console near parking brake lever.

On the rear passenger door, you will get a power window switch and door handle & no space for a bottle holder.

SEATS FIRST/SECOND and THIRD Row

Now talking about seats Mahindra Bolero B6 Opt is offering beige colour fabric seats and there is no option for leather seats here but you can get a synthetic leather seat cover to make it look more premium.

Here in Bolero Classic, the front seats are manually adjustable even in the top model there is no electrical adjustment facility. and front seats are decently comfortable you have a commanding position and Legroom and headroom are decent here.

Moving on to the third row it’s also comfortable and you cannot fold them they are fixed and the second row has an armrest and headrest. the thing I like about the second row is that it has a flat floor and the passenger sitting in the middle of the row will not get discomfort.

Moving on to the third row you will get decently comfortable side-facing seats and the only way to get inside the third row is the tailgate open it and you have a footrest here that helps you to climb in an average or short height people will be ok there or you can use them to carry luggage.

The overall quality of the interior of the Bolero Classic is decent. The company has done lots of cost-cutting here to make this 7-seater SUV affordable.

These are some features that you will get with the Mahindra Bolero B6 opt and there are a couple of features that are not available with Bolero B6.

Exterior Design

The Exterior design is the same as the top model Bolero B6. and it has a couple of features less than the base model. like the front, you have the same Halogen bulb-equipped headlights but here you dont get the static bending light features.

Besides this, fog lights are missing in this base model and you need to buy them as an accessory. rest of the things like the front grille and front bumper remain the same. I forgot to mention one thing it doesnt get Bolero badge over the front grill. because it is an accessory part.

Now moving on to the right side of the Mahindra Bolero B4 base model first thing you will notice the company has done almost everything to make it look extremely basic like they are not providing you body decals as we have in the top model Mahindra Bolero B6 opt.

And they didn’t stop there Mahindra has also removed wheel cover and steel wheel are there as aspected. besides this, the door handles are in black colour, footrest is there thank god. Besides this ORVMs are in the black color.

and here also you need to adjust and fold them manually by hand no electric adjustment here. on the left, the rear quarter panel near the Air vent bolero N4 badging is provided so that you can identify whether it’s the top model or base model.

Now moving on to the rear of the car, here you dont get wipers and roof spoilers. It looks pretty basic from the rear similar halogen taillight here and no chrome elements here off course you need accessories for that.

A small footrest comes by default from the company for passengers’ convenience and the rest of the things you can see in the images we have sown.

Mahindra Bolero B4 Interior

We were really surprised when we saw that the base model Bolero B4 Mahindra offers a Light grey interior with dark grey highlights and you will get only some basic features inside we almost cried to see this.

Mahindra has done almost all the things to make this already basic SUV even more basic as you can see in the images. The air conditioning vents are in dark grey colour and the rest of the dashboard in light grey colour.

The only luxury feature you have here is Air Conditioning and Heater. besides this regular hand-operated windows are here, so you need to rotate the knob to bring the window glass done and up.

Besides this, you will get two roof lights in case you need them, you have a digital instrument cluster here but without a Driver information system, power seeing is there but without adjustment.

Moving on to the seats, you will get decent quality fabric seats here on which front seats can be slide and reclined manually.

Whereas the second row is fixed and you do not get any headrests here and the second row is fixed you can’t fold them. the same case is for the third row there are side faces which is good for kids or short-height guys.

and the rest of the things you can see in the images we have shown.

This engine develops 76 Ps of power and 210 Nm of torque. this diesel engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and delivers power to only the rear wheel via a single plate dry clutch. and it is a rear-wheel drive SUV.

You will only have one diesel engine option and one manual gearbox option. the nice thing about this engine is it’s refined and produces less noise as compared to the older distributer-type pump engine.

This engine has enough torque to pull 7 people on the highway effortlessly. and you can almost move this car on third gear instead of one. due to its torque engine, it’s easy to drive in traffic and its gear shift is smooth and less vibration felt overhand.

Besides this, the Mahindra Bolero B6 opt has a commanding driving position and you can clearly see the the edges of bonnet and the large windows help you to observe the surroundings. that is why it’s easy to drive.

Mahindra Bolero is based on leader frame body construction, it doesnt have modern luxury features and it only available in diesel engine and 5-speed manual gearbox. and it have low maintenance and can give you 15 km/l mileage.

Its is available in four variant Bolero Neo N4/N8/N10 & N10 opt. this SUV also affordable and top model T10 (O) cost you Rs 12,15,499/-.
