is worth buying because if you look closely the top model has only a few cosmetic changes like machining over alloy wheels, cylinder head fins, 3d badges etc the rest of the bike is the same as the base model.

I prefer the base model which has spoke wheels, single-tone colour and the same engine and features along with Bluetooth connectivity it costs Rs 2,39,500/- which is approx Rs 40,000/- cheaper than the top model.

Hero and Harley have tried to add all the features that a premium bike deserves and believe me if you compare the RE Classic 350 with the X440S you are most probably going to choose the X440S the other reason to choose this bike is its Harley Davidson badge.

Currently, the X440S is the only bike from Harley here that is affordable. So let’s have a look at what else we get in it. let’s start from the front. here company has added a premium round-shaped headlight that has two light chambers.

The Lower LED chamber has three verticle projector lights and the upper chamber has a reflector-type LED chamber for the high beam it has LED horizontal DRLs with Harley Davidson written on it. whereas your RE Classic 350 gets halogen reflector-type headlights.

Moving on to another feature, with Hero Harley X400S you get all LED premium turn signals with the Harley logo in the centre and it looks like the orange ring is blinking and it looks premium. whereas Classic 350 gets the halogen turn signals.

Besides this, the body panels are made up of metals like the front mudguard, fuel tank, and rear mudguard are made up of metal whereas side panels are of some kind of plastic material. now one more thing the top model is only available in the black matte color with a 3D H-D badge over the fuel tank.

This bike feels solid from the front because it has good quality KYB USD 43mm Dual Cartridge Forks that absorb bumps efficiently and give good control over the bike. and on both sides of the front suspension reflectors are added to make it visible clearly at night and increase your bike’s visibility.

This Hero Harley X440 S is supported by a tube type frame which is clearly visible from the outside I don’t know what they call this frame but it’s supported by twin shock absorbers at the rear, a wide handlebar with a handlebar raisier and a box section swingarm.

This overall structure gives the rider a good comfortable position and also makes the bike easy to handle. and you can take this for long rides also. besides this, you have a leg guard of good quality which saves your bike in case of fall. it also protects the oil cooler radiator, fuel tank etc.

On the other hand exhaust design could be better but it sounds amazing we like the heavy throaty noise of the exhaust. we think that the company could add a chrome guard to it just to make it look better.

The last thing is with the top model X440 you will get machine treatment on the alloy wheels, the cylinder head fins, the SOS button, and the 3d badge. and the rest of the bike is the same as the other two models.

On the other hand, it’s wide which helps the rider to control and manoeuvre the bike easily on any road. besides this, it’s easy to lose and tight the handlebar nut due to raisers. moving on to other things which is switching gears cluster.

On the left side cluster, you will get passing the headlight high/low beam lever that can be seen just above the clutch lever. besides this, you will get a toggle switch to control the functions of the digital instrument cluster, turn indicator and horn button on the left side.

On the right side, you will get an engine kill switch with three functions engine on, off and starting. and as this is the top model so is equipped with SOS and a hazord button.

So as you lift off the SOS switch cover you will see a tiny red color button that can be seen below the hazard switch of the bike.

This instrument cluster is round in shape but there is a little rectangular screen here within the cluster that shows some info about the bikes. like when you press the options [mark square] button that can be seen on the left side switch gear clutter between the up/down arrow.

It brings you to the options now when you press the up/down arrow key you can see the Trip, Time, Average speed, Average Fuel Economy, Real Time Mileage, Tank Range etc.

Besides this the instrument cluster outside the digital screen engine warning, high beam, turn signal, and side stand warnings have shown the rest you can see in the images. one more thing is that on the left side of the speedometer, a USB charging slot is provided to charge the phones and it’s securely covered by the rubber cap.

These wheels are wrapped with MRF Zapper Hyke tyres of 100/90 X 18 size at the front and at the rear it has a 140/70 X 17 size tyre. these tyres are of good quality and a built for multi-terrain.

Talking about suspension it has fat KYB USD 43mm Dual Cartridge Forks upfornt and at the rear it has Gas filled Twin Shocks, 7-step preload adjustable feature. these suspensions absorb bumps efficiently. and sometimes passing over the bump you dont feel the road jerk much.

Talking about brakes you will get dual disc brakes here even the top model company uses Brembo disc brakes. Harley X440 has a 320 mm disc with two pistons floating calliper up front and a 240 mm disc with one piston calliper at the rear. breaking power is great but as it has ABS you could feel the lack of bite here.

some changes like you are paying Rs 20,000/- less than the top model.

For this mid variant, I think the value for money variant the thing you are getting with is sufficient and the thing you are not getting like machined finishing over alloy wheels and engine cooling fins I dont think is necessary. and you are getting the same alloy wheels, USD forks, design, instrument cluster headlights etc.

This X440 vivid has two colour options: metallic thick red and metallic dark silver. personally, we like the red colour. and when you look closely at the fuel tank graphic you will see lots of tiny Harley logos on it.

This variant is real value or money as we thought because it has a couple of minor changes other wise engine, chassis etc are the same.

So it’s the most affordable Harley you can say and it’s Rs 40,000/- cheaper than the top model. Yes, it’s missing some features but it doesnt look boring at all. First, have a look at the features of it.

Missing features of H-D X440 Denim

We personally like the X440 Denim for some reason. first, it’s cheaper than the top model. and second it looks more retro and unique. like with the matte yellow colour and spoke wheels it looks way more attractive than the X440 S.

On the other hand, it doesnt have a 3d logo instead it has a Harley sticker on both sides of the fuel tank which looks good. on the other, as this is the base model Harley could offer halogen lights to it but they have maintained the same features like LED lights, USD forks and digital meter.

To continue the premium feel of the bike which we personally like. on the other hand, build quality with a good finish is also maintained here. and I am personally impressed with its looks.

So this single-cylinder engine is designed and tuned for Indian riding and road conditions and it is made by the Hero and Harley.

This single-cylinder engine has a capacity of 440 cc. this engine is equipped with two valves and SOHC. besides this, it has two cooling systems Air and oil cooling, you can see the cooling fins are provided around the cylinder and other is a horizontal oil cooler radiator is placed up front on the left side of the bike.

This engine is a long-stroke engine which means it has more torque as compared to the other bikes another advantage of having a long-stroke engine is you can ride the bike at higher gear at low speeds.

You will get 27bhp and 38nm of torque It is lots of torque and another benefit of high torque is when you put it into first gear and release the clutch without the accelerator your bike will start moving automatically without any effort.

The company claims that it has 35 kmpl mileage, but while the test rider rode this bike up to 90 km/h over the highway, it delivered 20.1 km/l. and you can easily achieve a speed of 140 km/h on it during the test on the open highway it achieved 153 km/h.

So I think you can cruise through the day at 100-120 km/h. this engine has a 2.5-litre engine oil capacity of 15W50 grade. this engine has an external oil filter that can be easily replaced by removing bolts from the outside.

and has a thin oil strainer of rectangular shape to further stop the harmful particles. the engine remains unstressed during the ride it has a 6-speed gearbox with one down and five up shift patterns. gear shift is smooth and the clutch does not feel heavy during the ride. so that’s all about the engine.

should you buy so let me tell you it has three models which are X440S/X440 vivid and X440 denim.

So if you are one of those who have a tight budget but still want a Harley bike and you dont care about the features & just want to enjoy the ride. so my friend you should invest your money in base model X440 denim. it has a similar design, LED lights, USD forks & digital meter.

But you will get only yellow colour here, a spoke wheel and no Bluetooth connectivity and no SOS button it cost Rs 40,000/- less than the top model. It rides and feels similar to the top model and if you think it is practical for a rider who loves to ride the bike dont think about these features. we personally like the base model.

On the other hand, if you are more focused on the look of the bike rather than riding then you have the Mid variant called X440 vivid. it has Bluetooth connectivity, alloy wheels etc but you dont get machine finishing over alloy wheels/engine and SOS button. it has two colours Red and black. Its value-for-money bike costs Rs 20,000/- less than the top model.

On the other hand the top model has all the features like machine finishing, distal speedo and Bluetooth connectivity it costs you over Rs 3 lakh which I think is expensive for a single-cylinder bike and you have only one colour here. this product still needs some changes to make it worthy of buying like its seat is short in

In my opinion, the company should add a tall visor here, the exhaust needs a chrome guard to enhance its appearance, and the front cables need proper positioning.
