BMW GS 1250 Review with Price/Mileage & Images.
- This Bike is more road-focused and has fewer features as compared to the Adventure R 1250 GS.
- From the front, we have Adaptive Headlights with Swiveling
- It works like when you turn on the bike Led DRLs get turned on.
- And Headlight moves up and down to say hello to you.
- BMW GS 1250 has sensors on the front wheel to detect the direction of the bike.
- When you take a turn headlights move Left/Right and Up/Down to light up your path.
- I really like this feature and helps you to ride the bike comfortably and safely at night.
- On the other hand, BMW GS 1250 has a Cruising light feature as an option.
- In this feature front indicators are constantly dimmed to enhance the visibility of the bike day/night.
- My favourite design element is its asymmetry-designed LED headlights.
- Talking about its Indicators you will get LED indicators with an Arrow-shaped design.
- The windscreen of this bike is large and provides good protection from wind blasts.
- That Windscreen can be adjustable with the help of a Knob on the go easily.
- R 1250 GS has a top speed of more than 200 km/h so this windscreen really helps you.
- This is an adventure bike so you will use this bike for long routes and people often use phones for maps.
- This bike is equipped with a USB port so you can easily charge your phone while riding the bike.
- In addition to this BMW GS 1250 is also equipped with a TFT color Display with connectivity.
- And you can connect your smartphone to this bike via the BMW Motorrad connected app.
- So with this connected app, you can listen to music and see phone calls, etc.
Side design BMW GS 1250
- When you look at this bike from the side it looks really big and
- Talking about its paint especially GS 40 I love that black and yellow color
- Besides This, LIGHT WHITE NON-METALLIC, STYLE RALLYE, and STYLE TRIPLE BLACK colours are also available.
- This bike BMW GS 1250 is more road-focused so it comes with 20 Liters Fuel tank
- On the other hand, the R 1250 GS Adventure model has 30 litres of the fuel tank.
- On the other hand, the Fuel tank is beautifully designed and has a GS Sticker on both sides of it.
- But its big brother Adventure has GS embossed on the fuel tank which makes it look more premium.
- I must say the fuel tank is designed by keeping rider ergonomics in mind.
- And doesn’t come with small storage space on the tank Like R 1250 GS Adventure.
- This small storage you can use to place small items like keys USB cables etc.
- Let me tell you one thing in R 1250 GS adventure variant comes with a side Engine guard.
- And BMW GS 1250 model doesn’t come with a side engine guard although you can get it as accessories.
- Talking about seats they are really comfortable and wide and can be adjustable.
- You can adjust seats from 850mm to 870 mm as per your riding comfort.
- Although you will be happy knowing that R 1250 GS comes with heat seats.
- Other than the seat handgrips are also heated which helps you to ride in the freezing winter season.
- Talking about its handling BMW R 1250 GS offers superb ride and handling.
- In this bike, you will get a tube-type handlebar that can be adjustable up to 30 mm high with mountings.
- If you are buying Edition 40 Years GS it comes with a Golden finish handlebar of high quality.
- And on the regular variant, you will get a black and silver finish handlebar.
- The switchgear quality on this bike is really awesome you can only feel it when you will ride it.
- And on the Edition 40 years, GS handguards come with Yellow color that looks awesome.
- This bike is a very well-balanced bike. No matter how fast you are riding.
Rear design BMW GS 1250
- Moving on to the rear you will get Luggage mounting and on the sides as well.
- On the rear, you will get LED taillights and multifunction LED indicators.
- Multifunction means the indicator has a tail light and indicator light on a single unit.
- It helps during night highway riding.
- On the other hand, you will get a rear tire hugger as well.
- That’s all about the design of the BMW GS 1250 design.
Performance of BMW GS 1250
- This bike will put a smile on your face every time you ride this bike.
- Talking about its frame it has two two-section frame front end bolted on the rear frame.
- I must say the suspension of this bike really keeps you comfortable on even bad roads.
- On the front R 1250 GS comes with a BMW Motorrad Telelever, a stanchion diameter of 37mm, central spring strut.
- Rear Single-sided swing arm BMW Motorrad Telelever, WAD Strut, spring-loaded hydraulic adjustable suspension.
- In addition to this front suspension travel is 210mm and rear suspension travel is 220 mm.
- Let’s talk about rims, especially Edition 40 years GS it comes with gold Anodized spoke rims.
- BMW GS 1250 is also available with the option of Alloy Wheels and spoke wheels.
- I am honestly speaking these rims are high quality and draw everyone’s attention towards them.
- These spoke rims come with 120/70 R19 tyres on the front and 170/60 R17 tyres on the rear.
- Talking about its engine it comes with a 1254 cc twin-cylinder boxer engine with a shift cam
- This engine is water-cooled as well as air-cooled and comes with a fuel injection engine.
- This power plant produces 136 ps power and 143 Nm of torque. It’s a really punchy engine it’s.
- The thing I like about this bike is R 1250 GS uses a Driveshaft to rotate the rear wheel.
- There is no need to adjust the necessary Shaft only you need to change the shaft box oil at a certain interval of time.
- Talking about the millage of R 1250 GS adventure it will give you 21 Km/l (49 MPG).
- This means it will consume 75 L per 100 km that’s good mileage in my opinion.
- Other than this you can get a push-button start feature if you want to.
- Although it comes with a Key starting system. But I like the push-button starting system.

Expert Advice
- BMW GS 1250 has low fuel tank capacity and lower suspension travel as compared to the 1250 Adventure.
- In addition to this engine guard also does not come with this bike.
- But you can get it as an accessory and also comes with an Alloy wheel.
- So if you are not going to take this bike off-road but want to use it for highways.
- Then it’s a good option for you and costs approx 2 lakh rupees less than the Adventure model.
- Triumph Tiger 1200, Ducati Multistrada 1260 are the competition of this BMW R 1250 GS.
