Besides this, right about the headlight dual function LED lights are provided that work as DRLs and as a turn indicator. this Safri model is based on the land Rover Discovery from every angle. and one more thing Safari actually is an extended version of the Tata Harrier.

On the other hand, front and rear bumpers are of body-colored dual tone and a chrome-finished Tri-Arrow grille with the Tata logo at the center comes with this Base variant. the real eye-catching thing is the muscular bonnet and muscular side fenders that make this SUV look rugged and aggressive.

SIDE VIEW

Now let’s move on to the side of the vehicle you will definitely notice the wheels of the base XE model these wheels are not alloy these are 235/70 R16 stylized steel wheels that are the same in the XM & XMA models.

Besides this, body cladding is provided on the side and on the bumpers to protect your vehicle from scratches during the drive. as this SUV is high from the ground you can fit a footrest as an accessory as shown in the images.

As this is a base it doesnt look like one because Outer mirrors come with a piano finish with an LED turn signal integrated into them and these are manually adjustable and foldable mirrors. in this model, door handles remain body color.

besides this, in this model, you will also get roof rails as this model sunroof is not provided so you can carry up to 75 kg of weight on the roof rails.

REAR VIEW

So let’s move on to the rear and see how this Base Safri XE model looks? from the rear, you will get an LED taillight and High mount stop lamp. No wipers and defoggers are provided on it. and it looks muscular at the rear.

Both taillights are connected with the piano finish element and on the lower portion of the tailgate safari badging is provided.

My favorite design element is over the rear bumper dual dummy exhaust is added to give it a premium sporty feel but if data could provide the real exhaust it will look more sporty.

How do Lock & Unlock the safari XE base model?

As this is the base model so you will not get any smart key fob instead of this Tata has provided a regular lock and unlock key and a key slot is provided on the door handles on the front door so insert the key and the car will get unlock.

FRONT/REAR DOORs

Now after unlocking the car as you open the door you will power window switches on the driver’s side door ORVMs have manually adjustable knobs and are black and some fabric treatment is done by the company o the doors.

Besides this, a place for the speakers is provided but the speaker doesnt come with this base model. just like the front doors and rear passenger doors come with separate power window switches and door opening warning lamps on the bottom.

And the door opens wide and it’s easy to get in and out of the car although the car is high off the ground.

DASHBOARD LAYOUT

Let’s have a look inside the car as this is the base model company that has provided dual-tone black and bridge interiors. but the thing I don’t like about the base model safari is if you compare Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700 MX base variants they look much better equipped than the safari.

well move on to the topic, steering is powered and can be adjusted tilt and telescopic but you don’t get any mounted controls over it whereas the XUV700 base model does get some steering mounted controls.

Behind the steering wheel, a regular analog speedometer and tachometer with a multi-information display at the center show fuel level, engine temperature, instant fuel economy, real-time average & door opening signs.

Now let’s move on to the dashboard yes it comes with dual tone but the plastic quality is not good as compared to alcazar and XUV700 and looks ordinary like there is no infotainment system nothing. and you will get Manual A.C. controls in this base model.

Moving on to center control a manual gear lever, two cup holders, and the jet-inspired parking brake is provided. but the thing I like is in this base model company is providing an armrest with storage and as you open the armrest you will find two USB ports and a 12V socket.

On the other side of the dashboard, you will get some storage to carry things and the rest of the things you can see in the images I have provided.

What kind of seats do we get in the Safari XE model?

As this is a base model so the company has provided fabric seats and Tata Safari XE only comes with a 7-seater option only.

Front seats are manually adjustable and do not comes with height adjustability seats are comfortable and you don’t feel discomfort even on longer journeys.

Talking about rear seats, these seats are bench type that can be reclined according to your comfort and comes with a 60:40 split function to carry luggage and gives a passage to the people to enter in the third row. one more thing even in this base model A.C vents is provided on B-pillars inside.

one thing let me share with you is that safari comes with a Boss Mode. What is the boss mode in Tata safari? actually, it’s the feature that helps second-row passengers to move the front seats. on the front seats, there is a handle is provided when somebody sitting in the second row can slide the front seats by pressing that handle.

Talking about the third row, I must say safari is offering sufficient legroom and space for the rear passenger and A.C. controls and a mobile holder with a charging port are also provided here. and even for long journeys, an average adult can easily sit on the third row.

How much Boot space do we get on Tata Safari XE?

Well without third-row folding you will get small boot space and you can carry a couple of handbags only & it’s not possible to carry large luggage.

but when you fold the third-row seats you do get a decent 750 liters of space (As Per ISO V215) & when you fold the second row also along with the third row you will get 1658 Liters to boot space.

Where is the spare wheel provided on the Tata Safari?

As we all know that when Tata Safari launched it comes with a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and later when the tata safari facelift come Safari Storme spare wheel was moved to the underbody. so just like that in this new 2022 safari full size is mounted under the body and tools to change the spare wheel are under the boot.

So when you look at the Tata Safari XM model it looks the same as the XE model you will get the chrome-finished Tri-Arrow grille, halogen-equipped headlights with projector light, and LED dual functioning DRLs.

Now the change is you will get halogen fog lamps with this XM variant and you don’t get any for lamps with the base variant.

just like the half bumper is painted in body color and the lower half bumper remains in the black color because of cladding. rest of the things you will in the images we have shown.

SIDE VIEW

Moving on to the side of the car you will not notice any change in the design like the door handle is body-colored, A-pillar is body-colored, B-pillar is blacked out, and ORVM is the same with an LED turn indicator equipped.

In this Tata Safari XM model, you will also get the side cladding over the side running board and over wheel arches and even the wheels are the same 235/70 R16 stylized wheels.

so if everything is the same as the XE model that what is the difference in the XM model?

The ORVMS are electrically adjustable in this model whereas in the base XE model you have a manual knob to adjust the mirror. when you will open the door you will find an electrically adjustable knob to adjust the mirror.

REAR VIEW

It’s time to see the rear portion of the Tata XM model in this model you will get a rear wiper and washer that was not available in the XE model, & a high-mount stop lamp. The taillight is LED and on the bumper, you also get stoplights.

The rear bumper is the same with a fake dual exhaust design and the rear camera is not available with the XM model instead of this two parking sensors are provided.

Roof rails are also available with is model as there is no sunroof is there so you can load 75 kg of weight on the roof rails. and the rest of the things you can see in the image we have shown.

How to lock and unlock this safari XE model?

So as this is the second base model company has provided a Flip key that has a lock and unlocks button and a second simple key. so just press the unlock button on the key fob and get inside the car as you can see in the images.

FRONT & REAR DOORS

So you will get a key slot on the front door outside handle to unlock the car. as you open the door you will notice a great difference in the interior like you will see some silver color element on the interior.

as you open the door you will get power windows switches and to adjust the outer rear view mirrors company has provided an electric knob to adjust the mirror whereas in the base variant you get a knob to adjust the mirror.

Besides this, on the rear door, you will get a separate window switch and someplace to carry bottles and some soft touch fabric is also provided on the door handle to make look premium from the inside.

DASHBOARD LAYOUT

Speaking about the dashboard you will see lots of new things as compared to the base XE model in this XM model Tata has treated the dashboard with a silver color element and dual tone interior is provided in this car.

First, let’s talk about the steering, you will get the same power steering with tilt and telescopic adjustment and on the steering left side some phone and volume control switches that were missing in the base XE model.

Behind the steering wheel, you will get the analog speedometer and tachometer with MID at the center. speaking about the dashboard you will get some silver color treatment on the dashboard and on around the A.C vents that don’t make you feel that you are in the base model.

And at the center of the dashboard company has provided a Floating Island 17.78 cm (7inch) touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers with 4-speakers and 2 tweeters and you don’t get any Android Auto & Apple CarPlay system.

Below the touch, screen company has provided Driving modes like ECO, CITY & SPORTS. further moving down manual Air conditioning controls are provided. and there is some free space near the gearknob to place your mobile & smart A-type charging slots are provided.

And moving to the center console it’s again the same last base model you can see in the images.

SEATS FRONT & REAR

Talking about seats you will get the same fabric seats and the front seats are manually adjustable the thing you will get additionally is a manual height adjustment feature. and in between the seats, storage with armrests is provided.

Let’s jump onto the rear seats you will get bench-type seats that can be reclined, slide, and tumble folded to make -passage for the 3rd-row people. and Tata Safari XM is only available in a 7-seater variant. one more thing A.C. vents and a charging slot are also featured as a result you remain comfortable on 2nd row.

A similar case with 3rd-row A.C controls and bottle holder is also given to treat third-row passengers beside this LED reading and LED light is placed at different locations of the car.

How Safari XMA is different from XM Variant?

Actually XMA variant is exactly the same as the XM Variant the only difference here is you will get an Automatic gearbox so XMA denotes X-safari M-Modes & A-Automatic.

Whereas the XM variant comes with a Manual gearbox and the XMA is exactly the same interior and exterior so you can read the above paragraph.

Tata Safari XMAS comes with Sunroof & auto gearbox

Here Tata Safari XMAS comes with an Automatic gearbox and a Panoramic sunroof if you look it will look and comes with the exact same features as you get in the XMAS’s Safari XM variant.

In Tata Safari XMAS full form is X-safari, M-modes, A-Auto gearbox & S-panoramic Sunroof. and its features exterior and interior are the same as we have in the XM models.

Now here we have a model that is better equipped and valued for the model because it comes with the manual gearbox and the Sunroof.

It’s right above the Xm model with an additional feature sunroof & the rest of the things are the same as you can see in the images we have shown.

FRONT VIEW

So let’s start from the front you don’t see any major difference in the Safari XT model it looks the same as the other model. even in this model company is offering Halogen headlights which are a combination of projector light, reflective lights, and fog lights and some chrome finish provides around it to make it look premium.

Similarly, the front grill is the same throughout the range with chrome treatment and the thing that attracts me is the front grille combined with DRLs and encased with the humanity line it looks like the lights and grille are single units.

Besides this, a silver finish is provided on the front bumper and half the bumper is blacked out. moving on the front wipers in this model you do get the facility of Rain Sensing wipers that automatically start during rain. and the rest of the things you can see in the Tata Safari XT images we have shown.

SIDE VIEW

Now you might be happy to know that from the XT model to the top model you are going to get R18 Alloy wheels that change the overall appearance o the car completely.

Plus the ORVMs of this model comes with the automatic folding and electric folding system and LED turn indicators available right from the base model.

Besides this, chrome treatment can be seen on the body-colored door handles and when you look closely you will see a request sensor on the handle that makes this car look premium.

similarly, the belt line is treated with chrome also, and in this model safari branded roof rails are also provided in the car. last cladding is also provided in this mid-model.

REAR-VIEW

Ok, let’s move on to the rear and check what else Safari XT is offering to us? so in this model, you will happy to see the rear defoggers, wipers, and rear-mounted camera. and the camera can be seen below the tailgate-mounted tata badging.

Besides this, a roof spoiler and high-mount stop lamp are available in this model. and the rear taillights are LED. and you can see in the images.

How to lock & unlock the Safari XT variant?

To lock and unlock the car Tata has provided a smart key & you will get two smart keys and one manual key to unlock the car. on the key fob, you will see the lock and unlock button, headlight on/off button, and tailgate release button.

FRONT & REAR DOORS

when you approach the vehicle you will find a request sensor on the door handle to lock the car. & as you open the door you will find metal finished inside door handles, power window control switches, and some soft fabric treatment.

One more thing this car has electrically adjustable ORVMs the company has provided a knob to adjust the outer mirrors & as you lock the car ORVMs automatically get folded and vice versa.

and rear doors also come with dual tone color and separate window up-down buttons. For passenger convenience space for bottles is provided on the door. and doors feel heavy and solid when you shut them.

DASHBOARD LAYOUT

In this XT model, you will get Soft Touch Dashboard with Anti Reflective “Nappa” Grain top Layer that looks much more premium as compared to the base XE variant Safari dashboard and black piano finish, silver element on the steering & A.C vents makes this car look premium.

First, let’s talk about the steering wheel, this model company is providing Audio, call & cruise control buttons on the steering & behind the steering, you will get wipers and a headlights control stick. & even in this model, you are going to see Analog speedo & tachometer.

Second thing, on the center of the dash same 7″ Touch screen along with Android Auto & AppleCare play but 8 speakers and to control the infotainment system you will get some buttons.

Besides this Multi-drive modes button is also provided and below it, you can see A.C. controls by the way from this XT model you will get a Fully Automatic Air conditioning system, and the rest of the things you can see in the images.

And center console is exactly the same and besides this, all LED roof light is there, the glove box with decent space is there, vanity mirror with light some basic thing you will get in this model.

Talking about seats XT model is offering manually adjustable seats and you can adjust the front seats according to your height in this model you will get additional LUMBAR support.

Moving on to rear seats you will get 60:40 split seats with a reclining function and in this model, you will get a second-row armrest with a cup holder as well.

So let’s start from the front the design is almost the same as that Tata safari XE model but you will get Xenon HID projector lights and halogen-equipped low beam lights. and fog lamps also come with a bulb additional thing you get here is a cornering function that is not available on the base model.

But in the top model, you will get a silver finish at the lower portion of the bumper. talking about the front wipers these are rain-sensing in the top model.

SIDE VIEW

Moving on the side of the vehicle you will get R18 diamond-cut alloy wheels, and chrome-finished door handles with request sensors. besides this, you will get roof rails also but in the panoramic sunroof variant, you can load anything on the rails.

Safari SUV is high from the ground so it requires a bit of effort to get inside. you might be thinking that we should get a footrest to install to minimize the effort required to get inside but it will reduce the ground clearance and limits the off-roading capability.

REAR VIEW

Moving on the rear you will get the same design and signature LED Tailights, rear wiper & washer, shark fin antenna & camera. and boot can be opened via smart key but the tailgate don not open itself you need to lift the tailgate on your own.

NOTE:- well before start saying anything let me mention one thing safari XZ+, XZA+ & XZA are exactly the same the difference you see here is between the panoramic sunroof, auto gearbox, and 6 seats.

What’s new about the Interior of XZ+ & XZA+?

INTERIOR 360 degree

Well, the top model safari interior looks more premium as compared to the base Tata Safari XE model. when you will open the door you will find the Signature Oyster White Color Interior theme and an Ashwood dashboard with anty reflective Nappa leather.

That not only makes you feel premium but also feel soft when you touch it the only drawback of having a white interior is it’s really hard to keep them clean.

On the other hand, when you open the door you will get Power Windows switches and ORVM control and on the top model company has added JBL speakers for a better music experience. and over the steering, you will get Phone, Volume & infotainment control and on the right side, you will get cruise control buttons.

Behind the steering wheel, you will get a semi-digital instrument cluster that comes with an analog speedo and tachometer and 7 inches TFT color display that shows vital information.

Moving on to the center of the dashboard in the top model you will get a large Floating Island 8.8″ touchscreen infotainment system with a high-resolution display Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is available with it.

Besides this, the Tata Safari XZA+ model is equipped with a fully Automatic Air conditioning system & for send and third-row A.C vents also provided by the company, as a result, passengers will get effective cooling in the car.

Another thing that is different is the Terrain Response mode which has three options Normal/Rough & Wet which help the SUV perform better in different conditions on both sides the knob hill descent control & traction control buttons are provided to give full control to the driver on just click of a button.

Moving on to the center console instead of the parking manual parking brake auto park button is provided auto hold button is provided as a result you can control the car by just pressing the hold button if needed.

1st,2nd & 3rd ROW SEATS

Now in the Tata Safari XZ+, you will get electrically adjustable front seats with seat ventilation features but in the XZA model, you don’t get ventilated seats.

Moving on to the Second row you will captain seats that are placed high as compared to the front seats, as a result, passengers can see outside the car easily and with the XZ+ model second-row seats do get ventilation function.

Seats are comfortable but doesnt get enough thigh support but you do get good legroom and headroom.

Moving on to the third row you need to fold down the seats and it’s not an easy task to jump into the third row but for short journeys, you will get enough space on the third row along with A.C. event and a large window.

One more thing you will get an electric Panoramic sunroof that opens via the button provided on the front roof led lights.

First, let’s talk about the Tata Safari specification safari using a 1956 cc in-line 4-cylinder diesel engine that pumps 170PS of power and 350 nm of torque. this engine is called the Kryotech diesel engine also used in the jeep compass and the Tata Harrier.

So power delivery of this engine is great you will not feel under power when you are driving on the highway and in the hilly areas although when you accelerate hard this engine does become noisy but as you build up the speed it produces less noise.

One more thing if you are driving with full passengers or you are driving in a hilly area you will not feel any loss of power thanks to its eVGT (Electronic Variable Geometry Turbo) that spools faster as a result less turbo lag.

This 170 ps engine comes with 4-valves per cylinder & and a double overhead camshaft engine with an electronically controlled throttle.

Talking about the transmission in the Tata Safari you will get the 6-speed Automatic transmission that offers a smooth gearshifting experience to make the car suitable for various road conditions Land Rover base Terrains Response System is added to the car and Hill hold and hill descent control is also there to help you to control this car easily.

That offers a smooth ride over rough patches and this car is designed to perform over broken roads on roads you feel less jerk when you ride over speed breakers but you don’t need to worry about performance it has 205 mm of ground clearance so no complaints to its suspension system.

And brakes also perform well on the road and from the base model you will get disc brakes at the rear.

Besides this, the steering system feels heavy and it’s not designed for sharp turns driving fast like sedans.

And it has android auto, smart door handles, a touch screen, steering mounted controls & power adjustable ORVMs and it also comes with a 200hp petrol engine & 155 hp diesel engine whereas the Safari XE model has few features so XUV700 MX is valuable for money car.

In my opinion, the Tata Safari XMS variant is the value-for-money variant because it comes with Sunroof, touchscreen infotainment, 4-speakers, steering-mounted controls, and more. above I have explained everything about this Xm variant.

So if you are looking for a top-model safari then you are taking the absolutely right decision because it comes loaded with features and I have explained the features, specs, and images of this model. but it comes with only a two-wheel drive option.

But one car is giving tough competition to safari yes I am talking about Mahindra XUV700 AX7 comes with 4X2 and 4X4 models with slightly better designs and interiors. buy this car if you are an off-road enthusiast.
