Q. What charging options do we get with the Tata Curvv.EV?
Q. What are the standout design features of the Tata Curvv.EV?
Tata Curvv.EV Buyer’s Guide 2024: Thing You Need to Know!
Let’s talk about the design features of the new Curvv.EV. well, most people are complaining about the design of the new Curvv EV, which is its front fascia.
Yes, when you look at the Tata Nexon EV and the Curvv.EV from the front they look identical to each other the headlights, bonnet, bumper, and windscreen are the same. Read More
Even though both cars have rain-sensing wipers technology there is a difference that sets them apart which is the charging slot yes Curvv.EV has a charging slot up from where the Tata logo appears that place has a small electric door that opens electrically and reveals a charging port.
On the left side, the Nexon EV has a charging port on the rear quarter panel. now talking about the lights you will get LED headlights and fog lights over bumpers just like the Tata Harrier and Safari.
Besides this, both the Nexon and Curvv EV have smart digital connected DRLs with goodbye and welcome features same as the rear taillights. These DRLs cover the entire front edge of the hood and the left/right side of the DRL and turn into a turn indicator.
Now moving off the side of the Curvv EV here you can see the difference between Nexon EV and Curvv EV. you will notice that the Curvv EV is slightly larger than the Nexon EV.
Now here Tata has tried to make the Curvv stand out of the crowd by adding a sloping roof at the rear and merging to the tailgate this kind of shape is called a coupe. For example, Lamborghini Urus, Merce GLE 63 coupe etc these SUVs have sloping roofs at the rear.
Hence enhancing the the appearance of the car and make it look more sporty. on the other hand, Tata has added flush door handles here in the Curvv EV. These door handles hide inside the body creating a smooth finish.
And these door handles have a tiny LED light to guide people at night where the door handle is. here you can see the difference between Nexon Ev and the Curvv EV. nexon didn’t get a Flushed door handle instead it has convention door handles.
Nexon also doesn’t get a sloping roof line and more often looks like the compact SUV. The other difference is that the Curvv EV has the body cladding in black piano finish all around whereas the Nexon EV has plastic cladding.
In my opinion, a black piano finish doesn’t make any sense here because the piano finish will catch scratches easily and with time could lose its glossy appearance.
Another major difference here is Nexon EV has 215/60 R16 alloy wheels which are smaller than the Curvv EV 215/55 R18 and it’s an efficiently design alloy wheel with plastic inserts to reduce air drag to enhance aerodynamics.
Now moving on to the rear of the Curvv EV where it looks most eye-catching and believe me it’s difficult to take off here eyes off it. it looks curvy, wide and angular curves create a 3D effect on the car.
on the other hand rear also has connected LED taillights, steep rear glass, shark fin antenna. all these things combine a creats a sporty appearance and we love it.
Now rear tailgate can be opened by swiping your foot under the bumper and to close it just press a button inside the tailgate and it will close automatically.
Talking about boot space you will get 500 litres of storage space which is enough to carry luggage of up to four passengers. Tata has also provided a spare wheel, jack etc just lift up the trunk mat to see the spare wheel.
Tata Curvv.EV Interior 360 view, Space & Color option
Well Tata Curvv.EV Interior is very similar to the Nexon EV & I feel many of the buyers will not going to like it because they are paying more for Curvv and getting the same interior feel that Nexon EV customers are getting by paying less.
But there are a couple of things that you will get in the Curvv EV and having a coupe-like design adds an expensive car feel from the outside but eats up the space from the inside Read More

How to Lock/Unlock the Curvv.EV?
To unlock the car Tata has provided a new design key fob which has four touch-sensitive icon buttons Lock, unlock, headlight and tailgate release buttons.
besides this, a manual key is also fitted inside the fob in case the battery of the key fob gets down you can use it to manually unlock the car.
So after unlocking the car, you will see the interior which is similar to the Nexon ev. here with the top model, you will get a Black and white interior. and it has all the exciting features that buyers want.
Moving on to the dashboard company called this digital dashboard Why? because the instrument cluster is fully digital of size 10.25″ inches. and shows various info about the vehicle like charge, range, distance to empty, and also the right part of the screen turns into a rearview camera to show blind spot monitoring.
Besides this, the steering wheel is a bit different from the Nexon ev. The Nexon ev steering is a two-spoke wheel whereas the Curvv ev has a 4 spoke wheel. although both the car has horizontal touch panels.
Steering wheel touch panels have icons on the left side you have Bluetooth, call and volume icons with two physical buttons whereas on the right side, you have cruise control buttons.
This steering wheel has tilt adjustment and an electrical power unit. It is fully covered with leatherette material and has a flat bottom design.
Now moving to the centre of dashboard Tata has added a 12.3″ inch cinematic touch screen infotainment screen by Harman which not only looks premium but also offers lag-free experience. it supports AppleCare Play and Android Auto.
Beside this, total 9 speakers placed inside the car to give you a good sound experience this music system is belongs to JBL. beside this Alexa comes built in so you don’t need to hands of the steering wheel while driving the car.
below the Screen, Tata has provided phygital panel along with AC controls and other features of the cars these icons work when you touch them just like the smartphone. below it, there is a space where you get C type and USB controls.
now moving on to the centre console you have a gear knob showing Revers, Neutral and Driving and the parking brake is electrically operated here. in addition to this driving mode selecting a knob is here, wireless phone charger here but no cup holders are here.
Dashboard looks and feels premium and what makes it look premium is the use of different textures. now moving on the door panels on the driver-side door panel you will get 4 power window switches and an ORVM knob to adjust the rearview mirror.
The door panels have a leatherette and black piano finish but there is not enough space to carry water bottles instead of this you will get a cooled glove box to carry beverages.
Moving on the seats. front seats are comfortable you have a good knee room and headroom here and both front seats have a seat ventilation system which can be activated by the dedicated button on the right side of the seats. driver seat is six-way adjustable electrically.
whereas the Co-driver seat is manually adjustable along with height adjustability. moving on to the second again seats are comfortable and well contouring but if you are a tall guy your head is going to scratch the roof definitely but for short-height people no problem.
This is the only disadvantage of coupe vehicles. second-row seat passenger also gets AC vents and a 45W C-type slot. the rear seats recline can be adjusted up to two level. and these seats have a 60:40 folding function as well.
Yes the interior look and feels great but again are complaining that its looks like nexon EV even which they are paying more . It feels that Tata has saved time and money by just modifying the Nexon EV.
Tata Curvv.EV Powertrain Explain?
Curvv.EV powertrain is a bit different from the previous Tata Ev cars. this time Tata has developed a new chassis. where it consists layer 1 includes the battery at the centre, motor and inverter up front wheels, suspension and brakes & Read More
Now Second layer is added to it in the form of a chassis that supports the body panels and provides the housing to the battery, motor and inverter.
Now the third layer is the entire electrical system which helps to power the car and the fourth layer is cloud based App. this chassis system gives torsional rigidity, and better aerodynamics to the car.
Tata uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor which is mounted upfront and delivers power to the front wheels only via single-gear reduction. a small differential is connected with the motor and two axles are connecting wheels to the gearbox.
So Curvv.EV is a two-wheel drive car (Front Wheels).

Value for money variant of Tata Curvv.EV?
From our point of view, we have selected the value-for-money model, Tata Curvv.EVAccomplished +S 45 this model price Rs 19,29,000/-. this model includes all the necessary features a buyer requires.
but remember Curvv.EV is an expensive car and every one may not be able to buy it. on the other hand at this price point Buyers actually can buy a Tata Harrier which is a 5-seater mid-size SUV.
This model has a 45kWh battery pack which is only 17 hp less but same 215nm torque and you also get the same driving modes. so we believe this model is value for money. and in case you want ADAS features then go for the Curvv.EV Empowered +A 55.
