FRONT VIEW
Speaking about the front view, when Hayabusa was launched in India the face of the bike was instantly recognized by anyone and I love that oval-shaped headlight, round front fairing mounted indicators, and large windscreen that makes anyone instantly recognize that the Suzuki Hayabusa.
The company produced a second-generation Suzuki Hayabusa (2008 TO 2020) with new graphics and colors & some changes made to the analog speedometer to make it look modern. in second generation models only colors and graphics change by the company.
Now with this Third Generation Suzuki Hayabusa, the front fairing looks more stylish and modern, and the company added a complete LED headlight and projector light. within the headlight, there are 4 LED chambers upper and lower two for low beams.
whereas for the high beam, lower projector light comes into play. and on both sides of the headlight led turn indicators are provided within the front cowl to give it a clean and aerodynamic look these turn indicators are also integrated with the Suzuki Ram Air Direct system.
The international Hayabusa Model comes with Dual functioning Positioning light which also works as turn indicators whereas the Indian Hyabusa doesn’t have positioning lights only comes with turn indicator lights.
Flanking the SRAD ducts are LED position lights with integrated turn signals. They form a single clean vertical line that flows back along the cowling and eliminates the bulbous turn signal shape of the previous generation.
Another significant change is done on the ORVMs that look more stylish than before but these mirrors are small and don’t show much of what is coming behind you.
SIDE VIEW
So just Like the front the side body panels also change and I must say looks better than the 2nd generation Hayabusa.
this time Suzuki has completely changed the fairing style of Suzuki Hayabusa & this time you will see a large air ventilation opening on the faring that deflects the hot air coming from the engine away from the rider’s legs.
this side faring looks much better than before & The Hayabusa kanji and name logos have been styled to align with the bodywork’s modern look. Both logos adopt highly stylized strokes and the name logo features a long cross stroke on the “H” that emphasizes a sense of speed.
The fairing design permits high airflow through the radiator, increasing cooling efficiency as compared to the prior generation Hayabusa. Air flow is increased by 8% when the Hayabusa is in motion and is approximately 7% better when the cooling fan is moving air during low- to mid-speed riding.
Moving on to exhaust, these exhaust looks heavy yet sporty and matching with the overall style of the Hayabusa, on the other hand, this time you will get Seven-spoke cast aluminum alloy wheels used to help improve grip and feel to the rider while matching the Hayabusa’s exciting styling.
And footpegs are positioned sporty but make feel rider comfortable during the ride. On the other hand seats you will get split seats and the Seat height of the Suzuki Hayabusa is 800 mm which allows the rider to place both feet on the ground which is necessary to move this heavy bike.
One thing I like about the Hayabusa is both rider’s and pillion seats are wide and comfortable and you don’t feel uncomfortable during long rides.
REAR VIEW
Moving on to the rear you will see the the tail cowl design & rear taillight design is completely new this time tail cowl is more aerodynamic than before.
And Taillight now comes in a horizontal shape and the taillights are integrated with the LED turn indicator the previous Hayabusa turn indicator was on the tail cowl.
The thing I like the most is when you look at the busa from the rear those bulky exhaust pipes look bulky yet sporty. dual exhaust I personally like.
What colors do we get with the Suzuki Hayabusa?
well, the 2023 Suzuki Hayabusa comes with dual-tone colors & for India & International markets Suzuki is offering three colors.
These colors are Pear Vigor Blue & Pearl Brilliant, Metallic Matte Black & Glass Sparkle Black & Metallic Thunder Gray & Candy Darning Red.
Among these three colors, I like the Metallic thunder gray and candy daring red the most but here in India, people are showing interest mostly in the black color of the Hayabusa with golden highlight part over various places on the bike.
And the rest of the things you can see in the images we have shown on the blog for you.
Suzuki Hayabusa Seat Height
Q:- I am a short-height guy can I ride Suzuki Hayabusa?
Well, if you are a rider from the soul and you have experience how to ride a superbike that short height is really not a problem for you even if you are a 5’3″ height guy.
But if you are inexperienced and you haven’t ridden a superbike before then the Suzuki Hayabusa seatheight of 800mm can be a problem for you because 5’3″ or less then you cannot place your foot on the ground and Hayabusa is a really heavy bike. you need the experience to ride it.
And guys those who are about 5’5″ or above can easily place their toe on the ground and if you are above 5’10” you can easily place your foot on the floor. now after reading this you are able to test yourself on whether you can ride a Hayabusa or not.
SEAT HEIGHT
800 mm.
Suzuki Hayabusa Weight
Q:-I am an inexperienced rider can I handle Hayabusa’s weight?
Well, Suzuki Hayabusa’s weight is 266 kg (Kerb) which cannot be considered light in weight. so if you are one of that riders who has not to experienced how to ride a superbike then you need to be extra careful.
But, if you are an experienced rider then you can easily handle it but still, you need to be careful it weighs 266 kg and has power.
One more thing in case your Hayabusa falls down then you required lots of energy to lift the bike and it’s not an easy task to lift a fallen Haybusa.
Suzuki Hayabusa Fuel Economy
What is the mileage of the Suzuki Hayabusa 2023 model?
I know guys most of you wanted to know the mileage of the Suzuki Hayabusa, especially in India. Although these bikes are designed for speed and performance, not for mileage still many people wanted to know the actual mileage of the Hayabusa 2023.
So I am sharing a Hayabusa rider experience. he first burn the entire fuel in the bike riding on the road and then he filled the exact one liter of petrol and he rode the bike till 1 liter of petrol get finished I got surprised to know that Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R delivered 15.3 kmpl of mileage.
and he was riding in the mild traffic at the speed of 70-80 kmph. on the other hand 2020 Suzuki Hayabusa also the second generation also delivers 15 kmpl of mileage.
Model Year
Mileage
2023 Suzuki Haybusa (Third genration)
15.3 kmpl
2018-2020 Suzuki Hayabusa (2nd generation)
15 Kmpl.
What engine is in a Hayabusa?
Let’s talk about the engine because this new 2023 Hayabusa gets a similar engine with new lightweight parts and this time it’s BS6 compliant and produces 7 horsepower less than before. Read More
2023 Busa gets a new 4-cylinder, 1340cc DOHC liquid/oil-cooled engine that is coupled with the 6-speed constant mesh gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter & slipper clutch.
This engine develops 190 hp and 150 Nm of torque which is a bit less as compared to the previous generation busa. but you might be thinking that it’s no longer enjoyable to ride due to a drop in power.
But you are wrong it is still a power full bike and this is equipped with an electronic riding system that makes this bike more responsive and easy to control one thing that amazes me is its acceleration just open the throttle it goes like a missile and engine feels smooth enough to put a smile on your face.
On the other hand, when you accelerate the bike’s speedometer needle goes to another side very fast which means it takes a few seconds to hit the top speed of 299 kmph.
Talking about riding experience Hayabusa is designed to tackle any kind of road you through it and it rides and handles well on broken roads and its suspension absorbs bumps efficiently.
Besides this, Suzuki added a Brembo stylemma brake caliper up front to offer a superior braking effect, and it’s necessary considering its weight and speed.
What’s new in the Hayabusa engine?
the engine is already renowned for its improved durability and longevity, the following refinements aim to take it to another level.
New pistons and connecting rods reduce the weight of moving parts within the engine. Changes to the crankshaft oil passages improve engine lubrication. The transmission shaft needle bearings are extended in length.
Attention to detail goes as far as changing the way the engine case bolts are tightened, and even the threading for the screw holes in the upper crankcase.
The new pistons and Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) design fully leverage advances in CAE analysis to bring in more air as the valves begin to lift and thereby increase combustion efficiency.
Suzuki Side Feed Injectors (S-SFI) features a new dual injector design that positions the secondary injector so its spray strikes a reflecting plate in the funnel and enters the combustion chamber as a fine mist.
This combines with the increased capacity of a new air cleaner and longer intake pipe design to optimize low- to mid-range power output and make the Hayabusa more controllable in typical daily riding situations.
Suzuki’s ride-by-wire throttle control system provides a natural response with linear control, while a related change to a 43mm bore size for the throttle bodies boosts low- and mid-range power output.
Also helping to improve performance and controllability at the most commonly used low- to mid-range speeds are the new engine’s reduced valve lift overlap and a new pipe on the exhaust header connecting cylinders #1 and #4.
Suzuki Intelligent Riding System
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha (SDMS-α) groups together five advanced electronic control systems while enabling riders to select individual settings for each. Read More
It optimizes performance characteristics and behavior to best suit varying road surfaces, riding conditions, and preferred riding styles.
Experiment with the different settings and benefit from the feedback each offers to hone your riding skills and build greater confidence while enjoying the ultimate riding experience.
In addition to three factories presets, (A, B, C), SDMS-α offers a choice between three user-defined groups of settings (U1, U2, U3).
Modes and settings can be changed using switches on the left handlebar and the current settings are displayed on the TFT LCD panel located in the center of the instrument cluster.
This generation was the first Hayabusa that came to the market and this bike was featured in the Indian action movie called DHOOM released in 2004. And from that time this bike got famous and I love this bike when I first saw this bike in the DHOOM movie. Read More
This bike was inspired by a Japanese hunting bird called “the peregrine falcon“. This bird dives vertically for hunting and it’s up to 290-325 kmph speed. first generation Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa was in production from 1999 to 2007.
That engine delivers power 173 hp (129 kW) and 135 nm of torque & a six-speed gearbox comes with it this bike was able to hit 303-312 kmph.
Second Generation Suzuki Hayabusa 2020
This Second Generation Hayabusa was in production from 2008-2020 and when this was launched Suzuki enhanced the electronics of the bike and added ABS to this bike besides this new paint scheme and graphics added to the bike to make it look more modern.
In this bike, the speedometer design was completely different and the dimensions of the bike also changed. this second-generation Busa was using a 1340cc 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine that develops 147 kW (197 hp) power and 138.7 nm of torque.
Since this bike was launched company only introduced a new paint scheme to the bike and last I saw this bike at the auto expo 2020 with a new red and grey color then it was discontinued now above you can read the Third Generation Hayabusa review.
Suzuki Hayabusa Review 2023 and Opinion
At last, I want to say that Hayabusa is now more value for money than before this time you will get a new aerodynamic design and all the led lights that were missing on the previous model. Read More
Besides this, all the rider aid like Bi-directional quick shifter, Power Mode Selector, Anti Lift Control, Engine Brake Control System, Motion Track Traction Control System, etc these features makes the bike more enjoyable.
In addition to this, keeping safety in mind added some useful features that help the rider to control the bike safely.
Hill HOLD CONTROL
Hill Hold Control is designed to automatically engage the rear brake for 30 seconds after coming to a stop while moving uphill on an incline, even when you release the brake lever or pedal.
This helps ensure a smoother restart free of worries that the bike will roll backward. The system is disengaged either by quickly squeezing the front brake lever twice or by accelerating to pull away from a standing start.
Cruise Control System
Cruise Control reduces fatigue on long rides by allowing you to maintain a set speed without operating the throttle.
The speed can be easily adjusted upward or downward using the mode/set switch on the left handlebar and set from 31km/h to 200km/h while riding at 2,000 to 7,000 rpm in second gear or higher.
The system resume function re-engages the system and accelerates to the most recent speed setting after braking.
Active Speed Limiter
A first in the motorcycle industry, this system lets you set a speed you do not wish to exceed and then accelerate and decelerate as you please up to that speed. This helps lessen worries about the bike exceeding your chosen speed limit.
Launch Control System
A selection of three mode settings lets you match the engine speed at launch to your level of experience or confidence. Mode 1 limits engine speed on launch to 4,000 rpm, Mode 2 operates at 6,000 rpm, and Mode 3 – the fastest mode – operates at 8,000 rpm.
So after getting all these features, Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa becomes more popular and it’s more value for money now at Rs 16 lakh this Hayabusa is still cheaper than many other superbikes.
if you are thinking to buy this I must say it’s still a value-for-money bike.
