Scorpio S5 Exterior design

• Guys, we are making this blog, especially for the Mahindra Scorpio S5 model.
• This S5 model comes after the base Scorpio S3 plus model with fewer features.
• So this second base model S5 looks simple from the outside and as well as inside.

• Upfront we have regular dual-chamber Halogen bulb-equipped headlights.
• And in Scorpio S5 at the place of LED DRLs, you will get Chrome treatment only.
• On the other hand, the Static Bending light is missing in this S5 Variant.

• But at the rear, you will get Red Lens LED Taillights just like the top model Scorpio S11.
• Apart from that front grill design is the same as the other models but comes with black grille inserts.
• Further moving down the grille you don’t get fog lamps but you can get them as an accessory.

• Now moving down to the front bumper silver skid plates are also not available.
• Moving on to the side you will get side cladding with Scorpio embossed on it unpainted.
• Besides this, Door handles and outer Side Mirrors come unpainted with Scorpio S5.

• Speaking of ORVMs they are manually adjustable and foldable & without indicators.
• Over the roof of the S5 model ski rack and roof, the spoiler is not available.
• On the other hand, rear wipers, parking cameras, & defoggers are also not available with Scorpio S5.

• And centre high-mounted stop lamp comes equipped with a Bulb but not LED.

• One thing we wanted to say is that the Scorpio S5 interiors look outdated.
• But considering the Scorpio S5 price of ₹14,28,715/- If you are getting a decent interior.

• Guy Mahindra Scorpio S5 has a simple interior don’t expect many features.
• You will get a black and Grey interior just like other Scorpio models.
• Over the door, you will get power windows switches & some fabric finish.

• And near the ignition key, you will get the Start/Stop system, fuel lid opening, and light levelling controls.
• Moving on to steering you will not get audio and cruise control.
• If you have seen the interior of the top model Scorpio S11 you will feel sad.

• Behind the steering wheel, you will get the same analog speedometer with a MID display.
• And in this S5 model air condition vents are not decorated with chrome treatment just like in the S11 model.
• In addition, Manual Air conditioning comes with this model with average-quality knobs.

• Also, you don’t get a touch screen you will get it as an accessory.
• Moving on to the center console you will get a faux leather-wrapped gear knob.

• And to large cupholders, parking brake levers, and space to place mobile phones.
• Now sunglass holder & no anti-pinch & auto roll-up smart driver window.

• Speaking of front seats you will get manually adjustable seats with no height adjustment feature.

• On the other hand armrest for the front seats also missing in this model.
• Moving on to the second row it’s the same as the other variant.

• And the third row can easily accommodate four short-height people.
• The seats of Scorpio’s S5 are made up of fabric material.

• And in the Scorpio S9 variant, you will get 7-side facing and 9-side facing seating options.

Scorpio S5 Performance & Mileage

• Mahindra is offering one engine 2179 cc option with the S5 variant.
• You will get a mHawk 4-cylinder engine with a VGT turbocharger & intercooler.
• This engine has common rail direct injection technology and four valves.

• This 2179 cc engine develops 120 hp and 280 Nm torque & mated with 5-speed manual transmission.
• Talking about its mileage Scorpio S5 Mileage is 15 km/l on the highway & nearly 9 kmpl in the city.
• On the other hand, Scorpio mHawk is a punchy engine and doesn’t require frequent gear changes.

• Because now Mahindra is using Borg Warner’s Turbocharger with almost no turbo lag.
• Whereas Tata Safari Varicor 400 had better driving dynamics and was also stable at high speed.
• Now Mahindra Scorpio’s S5 top speed is 165 kmph & Mahindra S5’s fuel tank capacity is 60 litres.
• And this new Mahindra Scorpio feels more agile at corners and safe on the highway.

My opinion about Mahindra Scorpio

• Just like another model Scorpio 9-seater is a great model for tourist and taxi use.
• Because it has a good 120 hp and 280 nm torque and an anti-lock braking system.
• On the other hand, Scorpio has 180 mm ground clearance and body-on-frame construction.
• That makes Scorpio solid and rugged to use on broken roads.
• And Mahindra Scorpio has Micro hybrid technology that turns on/off the car to save fuel.
• This SUV is also able to deliver 15 kmpl mileage on the highway.
