• Like this, a base model looks simple but it gets decent features as compared to Hyundai Venue E.
• This model gets Kia signature Tiger Nose Grill with silver finish diamond knurling pattern.
• Just like the venue, this HTE Sonet has fake muscular front/rear skid plates in silver finish.
• Let me tell you this skid plate appearance is provided to make it look rugged.
• When I saw this model I found halogen headlamps with no led DRLs.

• And this KIA Sonet HTE gets no fog lamps at all although you can get fog lights as an accessory.
• Moving on to the side you will find simple body-color door handles with key slots.

• Yes guys you will get old school key slot to lock & unlock the door.

• But thank god we have electrically adjustable outer rear view mirror.
• But guys you need to fold & unfold them with your hand but it’s ok for me.

• Now one more thing as we know that outside mirror doesn’t have led turn indicators.
• That’s why KIA has provided halogen-equipped clear lens type indicators on the side fenders.
• Well, you will get side moldings (Cladding) of black color on the side.
• Now moving on to the rear you will definitely miss the dual muffler design.
• But guys I don’t know about you whether you like it or not but I don’t like a fake muffler
• I want real exhaust well apart from that parking sensors & reflectors comes on the rear bumper.

• But guys you would not get a tailgate opening key slot either you need to open it from inside.
• Yes, high mount tail lights are there but no roof rail & nor sunroof comes with KIA Sonet HTE.
• The last thing is halogen tail lights but the design is the same across the KIA range.
• Kia Sonet HTE Dimensions are Length 3995mm, Height 1610mm, width 1790mm.
• Wheelbase 2500mm, ground clearance 211 mm & Boot space is 392 L.

• Guys Kia Sonet base model HTE looks much better than Hyundai venue E interior.
• In this base model KIA, you will find few comfort & convenience
• As I open the door of the car I found a black single-tone color interior.
• On the driver’s door, 2 powered window switches & ORVMs adjusting switch can be found.

• Whereas rear windows remain manually adjustable with a rotating handle.
• Moving on to steering you will get MID controls buttons on the right side.
• But you get an 8.89 cm (3.5”) Mono Color Instrument Cluster (Speedometer).

• But Hyundai Venue E has much better looks regular analog speedo with MID.
• Moving on to an Air conditioner that is manually controlled & rear vents also comes the Sonet HTE model.
• Around the A.C vents, the silver garnish knurling pattern looks premium.

• And inside door handle gets hyper silver metallic paint.
• The last feature of this base model has premium fabric seats of black color.
• Front seats are manually adjustable and rear seats can be flipped.

• KIA is offering only two engine options with 5 & 6 Speed manual transmission.
• But in the Hyundai Venue E model, you have only one 1.2 L petrol engine option.
• Sonet HTE has an 1197 cc Petrol engine with 5-speed manual gearbox that gives 18.4 kmpl mileage.
• And 1493 cc 4 cylinder diesel engine with 5 Speed MT that gives 24.1 kmpl mileage.
• These same engines you can find on the Hyundai venue model.
• Talking about ride quality is almost the same because they are sharing the same platform & almost identical wheelbase.
• But Kia Sonet has 211 mm of ground clearance which is more than the Hyundai venue 170 mm.

My Opinion.

1. Kia Sonet’s price starts from Rs 6.95 – 13.69 Lakh.
2. On the other hand venue price starts from Rs 6.99 – 11.87 Lakh.
3. Yes KIA is well designed and equipped but the Hyundai venue doesn’t bad either.
4. I would choose KIA Sonet but tell me in the comment which is your choice.
