Guys, in case you don’t let me tell you Ninja 1000 SX is a touring bike.
Touring a bike is a glorious embodiment crafted specifically to conquer vast stretches of land, carrying the weight of both precious cargo and the company of a fellow adventurer.
These bikes feel comfortable as compared to sports bikes and offer good engine performance.
But hey, you know what? There are actually loads of bikes out there, just like the Ninja 1000SX.
Like we have Suzuki Hayabusa GSX-1300R and Suzuki S1000 GT.

So let’s see what else this BS6 Ninja 1000 SX is offering to its customers.
When saw this bike first time it impressed me with its design & the way it looks.
Then I decided to explore more about this 1000cc monster that was designed for touring.
Nothing has changed in this new Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX as compared to the previous bike.
This bike has lots of cuts and creases on the side fairing & front fairing.
And believe me, the Ninja 1000 SX looks wider and bigger as compared to other litre-class superbikes.

The company has added certain features to the Ninja 1000SX to make it more pleasurable to ride.
First, the windscreen in this bike is 4-ways adjustable and you can adjust it without any tool.
All you need to do is just press a button located below the speedometer and adjust the screen with your hand.
The second is a clip-on handlebar set to a high position to help the rider to keep the back straight.
In addition to this, the rider can also adjust the clutch and brake lever according to him.
The third one is, that a touring bike should offer a good sitting position as well as padding to keep riders in comfort.

By keeping this in mind Kawasaki is offering a seat that has superb elasticity.
And resistance to cold temperatures for optimal comfort during the ride.
The company said these seats are fabricated of dense, springy urethane cushioning that helps retain the original shape.
As this, a Ninja 1000 SX is a touring bike it should be aerodynamic.
This aerodynamic performance comes from its fairing and its design.

Front faring looks sharper and the chin spoiler just like Ninja H2 & H2R is there to increase downforce.
Moving on to the side you will see a large opening on the side fairing to let the hot air out of the engine.
One thing I like to thank is Kawasaki for not offering those tube section ugly grab rails.
As we saw on the Ninja 300, Ninja 400, and Ninja 650 bikes.

A large saree guard definitely comes along with Ninja 1000 SX but thankfully it can be removed easily.
Now the previous 2019—2020 Ninja 1000 SX used to come with dual exhaust pipes.
But in 2022 we will only have one exhaust mounted on the Right Side Company did this to reduce weight.
Talking about lights we will get full dual LED headlights with high and low beams on both sides.

And turn indicators are integrated on side fairing to maintain an aerodynamic
On the rear, we also get LED tail light and indicators and two reflectors are bolted near the front suspension.
At last, I want to say fit and finish, paint quality is truly impressive.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Convenience

Above we have talked a lot of things about Ninja 1000SX styling and comfort.
So let’s have a look at what convenience it’s offering to rides after all it’s touring bikes.
Kawasaki is offering all digital TFT color instrument that shows all the info about the bike.
Like Digital Speedometer, Gear Position Indicator, upshift Indicator, Odometer, Dual Trip meter, and Fuel Gauge.
Cruising Distance, Average Fuel consumption, outside temperature, water temp
Apart from that screen’s background color is selectable like black or white & brightness can also be adjusted.
Second thing 2022 Ninja 1000 SX is Bluetooth enabled so you can download the ideology app.

And can connect the bike with your smartphone to get vehicle info, riding log, phone notifications & general settings.
Another feature riders will need when cruising along the highway & covering long distances.
Like when you are covering long distances it’s hard to maintain a constant speed.
To fight this problem Kawasaki armed his Ninja 1000 SX with cruise control.
It can be activated with the help of buttons mounted on the right side grip as shown in the image.
Plus heated grips are also there to keep your palm warm during a ride in the winter season.
Besides this, as this is a touring sports bike, it should have something to carry luggage.
Especially in my case, I need a bag that can carry small items.
So Kawasaki is providing mounting to attach side cases or (panniers) that can be attached and removed easily.
And nowadays everyone has smartphones and keeping the battery fully charged during a ride is difficult.
So for this Kawasaki added a DC power outlet on the left side of the TFT screen to power your devices.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Color options

In 2022 model Ninja 1000SX is only available in two colors.
These colours are Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray and emerald Blazed Green.
Both colors are high quality and the paint finish is really good.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Detailed Review 2024 — Side View.

The thing I want to share with you is that Ninja 1000 SX is really pleasurable to ride.
It feels smooth when you ride the engine and when you twist the throttle it pulls strongly.
The engine delivers superb response & low range, and the mid-range is strong.
And when you want high speed it has enough power to hit the top speed easily.
So powering this beast is a 1043 cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
That develops 142 PS of power and 111 Nm of torque delivering all this power to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
Further adding fun to this bike is the dual-direction Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS).
This allows the rider to shift up/Down without using the clutch without interrupting power delivery.
Also, assist & slipper clutch is also featured in Ninja 1000 SX to offeres light clutch pull and minimize rear wheel chatter.
Slipper clutch actually reduces wheel chattering when we downspeed aggressively by slipping clutch plates.
Apart from that bike is sported on an aluminium twin-tube frame bolted to the engine.
And features a high degree of mass centralization ensuring a balance of agility and firm handling.
The ride is really comfortable and the engine feels smooth offeres a great riding experience.
Besides this riders can aspect 21 kmpl mileage in the city in mixed riding conditions.
And if you are riding Ninja 1000 SX above 100-150 kmph speed this bike can deliver 16 kmpl.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is able to hit a top speed of more than 250 kmph.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Suspension

A bike can never deliver power efficiently without having a good suspension system.
And it becomes important for the bike that is specially designed for touring.
So Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is equipped with 41 mm inverted forks (USD) upfront.
And Horizontal back-link rear suspension offeres remote rebound and preload adjustability to suit rider needs.
Suspension in this bike offers a smooth ride and is able to keep you in comfort throughout the journey.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Brakes

Now here comes another important factor the brakes a powerful bike needs powerful brakes.
And Ninja 1000SX brakes offer a soft initial bite but enough to bring the bike to a halt.
Kawasaki is offering in Ninja 1000SX dual petal disc of Ø 300 with semi-floating 4-piston calipers up front.
And a single disc of Ø 250 at the rear with single-piston callipers.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Seat Height

As I said Ninja 1000SX is a large bike so it could be a problem for the short-height riders to keep both feet on the ground.
Talking about seat height it’s 835 mm which is good for taller people like 6’ tall.
But in case you are of 5’5” guy, it could be a problem for you to rest your both feet on the ground.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Top Speed

In my opinion, touring bikes are not designed to achieve high top speed.
Because of their heavy weight, it is difficult for a touring bike to hit maximum speed.
But don’t worry our Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is not a slow bike it can achieve 250+ kmph top speed without any problem.
In case you are not satisfied with the top speed of Ninja 1000 SX go and get Kawasaki Ninja H2R with 400 kmph speed.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Mileage

The Mileage figure shown in this article is tested by a rider.
And Ninja 1000 SX has a feature that can show real-time mileage and distance covered.
So you can easily check the mileage by yourself.
The rider said in mixed riding condition Ninja 1000 SX delivered 21 kmpl.
When the user was riding a bike on the highway over 100-150 kmph bike delivered 16 kmpl.

This bike is so enjoyable to ride due to this you can easily forget about having low ground clearance.
And in India, there is no standard issued by the government on what should be the size of speed breakers.
But Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has 135 mm ground clearance but you need to care.
Ninja 1000 SX has a 5 mm higher ground clearance as compared to Ninja 650 130 mm ground clearance.

Expert Opinion

Honestly speaking, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is undeniably an exceptional touring bike. Not only does it possess commendable ride quality, but it also boasts impeccable build quality. This remarkable motorcycle caters to individuals seeking a comfortable and effortlessly manoeuvrable ride, while also delivering impressive performance.
But in India, people are buying BMW R 1250GS, BMW G 310 GS, and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
Because these bikes are designed to go off-road and offeres high ground clearance.

Suzuki GSX-S1000GT

I more thing I wanted to add is there is another bike in the market that is designed to compete with Ninja 1000SX.
That is Suzuki GSX-S1000GT this bike offeres similar designs and features as the Ninja 1000SX.
Personally, I like the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT because it looks sportier than our Ninja 1000SX.
Suzuki is offering a 999cc, 4-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine.
That produces 152 Ps of power and 106 Nm of torque & transfers all the power to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission.
This Suzuki Touring Bike also entertains the rider with its Suzuki Traction Control.
Ride-By-Wire Electronic Throttle System, Bi-direction Quick Shifter, and cruise control.
Apart from that, a 6.5” Full-colours TFT display comes along with the bike.
Whereas a 4.2” TFT display you will get in our Ninja 1000SX.
