You should not buy the Force Gurkha 5 door if they are expecting sharp handling, Luxury features, high speed and acceleration Read More
Because this gurkha is designed for off-road, tackling difficult terrain if you are thinking of buying it think twice because most people want to buy the Gurkha for its tough looks and believe me it is a large vehicle.
So it requires attention when you are driving it in the city so I suggest you instead of buying Force Gurkha get a Mahindra Thar RWD, Suzuki Jimny, Grand Vitara etc. because these SUVs have the latest luxury features, easy to drive and nice on road presence.
Force Gurkha5 door is designed for those people who only demand from their SUV a great off-road capability Read More
Tough build quality, large size, could carry up to 7 people with their luggage and has a powerful engine that can pull 3 tonne suv over any terrain.
This SUV has great off-road capability and you can drive this SUV almost anywhere and can cross the river with the help of its 700 mm wading capacity. This SUV is designed for high speed but SUVs can do the thing that very few suv are can do.
Don’t expect luxury from it but it offeres you Air conditioning, 7 seats, a touch screen and digital speedo etc. Believe me, those who love tackling off-road don’t require luxury features.
See our opinion Force Gurkha 3 door is the best because it carries the same engine power and torque figure Read More
On the other has less weight 2800 GVW as compared to the 7 seater Gurkha beside this it has a shorter length and wheelbase making it able to drive into the cities and crowds easily and can carry 4 people with their luggage.
On the other hand if you love to carry lots of luggage and people then you can go for the Gurkha 5 door and both models are the same except second row and side view even if the off-road specs are the same.
Force Gurkha 5 Door Exterior Features and Images
Force Gurkha is also known as the G wagon of India. Because its exterior design looks the same as the G Wagon and it not only looks like that but uses the real Mercedes engine Read More
And just like the Mercedes G-Wagon it’s designed for off-road purposes yes it doesn’t look premium like the G wagon but its off-road performance is similar to it. and when you compare both the force Gurkha
and the G Wagon you will find some similar exterior design elements. and as this is the 5-door model it looks similar to the Gurkha 3-door model from the front and the rear. so one by one we will see the exterior features of it.
First start from the front here you don’t see any major difference in the design which is almost same as the before but it looks high from the ground to its R18 alloy wheels. Her company has continued the
similar round-shaped headlight with LED DRL around it and its headlight has two LED chambers one for the low beam and one for the high beam and these headlights perform well on the road and just above the headlights.
The LED indicators, like G Wagon, look cool, enhance its off-road appearance and are mounted over square front fenders.
Force Gurkha 5 door looks boxy from the front like its lights mounted in a square-shaped cavity, and its front grill is square in shape carrying a Gurkha badge at the centre. I like the exterior design it looks tough with this boxy look.
And moving on to the front bumper is made up of plastic fiber and this bumper is also special I mean it has a short front overhang which is a primary requirement for an off-road vehicle. on the other hand force company has added halogen fog lights with cornering light function.
Moving over the hood it is of clamshell-type housing a Mercedes source diesel engine, its windscreen is short slightly angled rectangular type different from other SUVs. Everything here is minimal and tough.
Now moving the side of the vehicle here you will notice major changes. means you will see another two doors for the rear passenger, increased length, new alloy wheels etc. If you compare both G wagon and Gurkha you will see both the cars identicle to each other.
Like exposed door hinges, square-shaped windows, side body cladding etc it has now got electronically adjustable side mirrors which is new to this model and the company has added new machined-finish alloy wheels of R18 inch.
which is not only larger than the previous one but looks more sporty, on the other hand, the door handles are black in colour and if you are an off-road enthusiast then you can install a snorkel to get its wading depth increased.
now moving on to the rear the design is pretty much the same as before you will get a sideways opening door for coming in and out of the vehicle & it’s the only way to get inside the third row. spare wheel is mounted on the rear door.
Looks great and it’s not placed under the body because if the company do so it will decrease the departure angle of the SUV. besides this you will get a large rear window for better visibility at the rear and a wiper is provided to clean it.
A force gurkha badging is also placed at the bottom of the rear door, on the other hand, the bumper is again minimal in design and has been placed at the centre of the licence plate. Lastly, it force Gurkha 5 door has halogen taillights and high-mounted LED stoplights.
In case again if you are an off-road enthusiast you can get accessories installed like a ladder to access the roof as you can see in the images we have shown here.
Force Gurkha 5 door is a really large vehicle and it’s also high from the ground so to make it easy to climb inside it company has added a footrest on the side of the car and as well as at the rear.
It has a great road presence due to its size and we personally like the boxy design of Gurkha.
Force Gurkha 5 Door Interior features with Images
If we compare the interior of Force Gurkha’s previous model to the current model company has made some changes to it just to make it more attractive and passenger-friendly but it still lacks a premium feel.Read More
When you get inside the force gurkha you will find hard plastic all around and its interior looks basic and outdated that’s why most people don’t like it at all.
Now if you see the interior of the Mahindra Thar 4×4 it looks premium and much better than the Gurkha but Force Motors has listened to the customers and added a couple of new features.
so let’s start s form opening the driver-side door. after opening the door you will see the door interior has minimal plastic design elements and one thing you will also notice is that you don’t have any power window switches here.
Instead, door power window switches are located over the centre console four all four windows. on the other hand, you have the same dashboard as before but now in the presence of a new 9-inch touch screen and digital instrument cluster, customers will slightly feel better.
On the extreme right of the dashboard, you will get a Gurkha badging that reminds you that you are sitting in an extremely off-road vehicle, it has a decent storage glove box to carry your items. dashboard doesn’t feel large and does not occupy a large space.
Moving on to the centre of the dashboard it is now equipped with a 9-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple car play this unit feels that you have installed it aftermarket but I thank Force Motors for providing this to us.
Besides this, as this is an Rs 18 lakh vehicle it should be equipped with an auto Air conditioning system but it gets the manual one and controls are you can see on the centre of the dashboard and there is an AC vent over the roof for rear passenger.
This unit is not integrated within the roof instead of is bolted as a unit over the roof you can actually see the air ducts.
Now moving on the driver side here you will feel slightly premium than before why? because it is now fitted with a fully digital instrument cluster unit that shows pretty much all the information about the vehicle. on the other hand, the steering still looks outdated no audio and no phone controls are here.
But you can adjust the power steering according to you because it can be adjustable tilt and telescopically which is a nice thing. on the right side of the steering, you will get an electrically adjustable ORVM knob in case don’t know how to adjust.
Moving on to the centre console here you ‘will miss the High/Low ratio selector lever if you are driving the old model but the company has replaced the gear lever with a rotary knob which is known as shift on fly 4X4.
The rest of the centre console is the same as before you can fit two water bottles here, and store small items here, and two differential locking levers on both sides of the gear lever same as before.
Talking about seats you will get fabric seats here whereas front seats are manually adjustable and second-row seats are fixed you cannot fold them to access the third row. The second seat does have a rest with cup holders.
Now moving on to the third row here you will get the captain seats with a good amount of headroom and decent legroom and you can store your couple of bags around the seats. this SUV has lots of space for 7 passengers.
The only way to get inside the third row is a rear door and to climb inside it force has installed a footrest but still, you need to make an effort to get inside it.
We think that the company could make the interior of the Gurkha and still, there is room for improvement and one more thing due to this very few people will buy it.
And this is why people buy Mahindra rather than forced Gurkha.
How does Force Gurkha 5 Door perform on-road and off-road?
So Force has increased the power of Force Gurkha 5 door company is using Mercedes sourced 2596cc 4 cylinder diesel engine which is equipped with turbo and intercooler it delivers 140 PS of power and 320 nm of torque Read More
These power and torque figures are higher than before like previous Gurkha 3 door was equipped with 91bhp and 250 nm of torque from the same 2596 cc engine. although if power has increased then the size has also increased which means you still feel a lack of power in the new Force Gurkha 5 door model.
This diesel engine is sourced by the mercedes so you can expect smooth performance and the Force Gurkha 5 door its self inspired by the Mercedes G wagon. One more thing Force Gurkha 3 door also gets the same power and torque figures.
This SUV is primerily designed for the off-roading and in off-roading categories, you don’t require speed, comfort and luxury but you require a touch chassis, a 4X4 system, large wheels and a High/Low ratio and this SUV has it all.
But we people want more mileage, speed and comfort from it and it’s not designed for it. but it offeres decent highway drive dont expect high speed agility from it due to its large size and 3125 kg weight.
Well this diesel engine is mated to a five speed manual engine with a 4wd transfer case and power is transmitted via the driveshaft from the rear and front wheel beside this it has three differentials front/centre/rear.
What is the differential in a vehicle?
The differential mechanism consists couple of gears and the differential helps the vehicle to take a turn and helps both driving wheels turn at different speeds.
This Force Gurkha 5 door is heavy and has a fair amount of body roll and the engine feels sluggish and takes time to build speed.
On the other hand, if we talk about the off-road performance it stands out from the crowd and is able to tackle pretty much any kind of terrain why? because Force Gurkha 5 door has 39 degrees Approach angle, 37 degrees departure angle, 28 degrees ramp over angle, 35 degrees grade ability and 700 mm water wading.
These specs make this heavy SUV more capable off-road believe me no modern SUV cannot come close to it when it comes to off-roading. and the company has also increased the size of the wheel now it has 255/65 R18 size.
One thing I have to say is buy this suv for off-roading and dont buy this SUV for a luxury high-speed drive. And mileage and top speed are not disclosed yet.
